Loved Tai's Savaii experience - Had a great time with Tai and learned a lot about Samoan culture. Was also a great way to see Savaii

Fantastic day out with an amazing guide! - I'm traveling with my mum. She's 80 year's old, has mobility issues waiting for a knee replacement, and is a bit deaf so I did check with Tai's Native Experience if they thought this trip might be too difficult for her. I needn't have worried. Chris, our cheerful, knowledgeable, and all round great guide made the trip easy and interesting for us. He couldn't have been more supportive getting mum on and off the ferry, or whenever there were stairs. After an early start, the trip itself was great. We loved the ferry ride, Chris gave us just enough history to keep it interesting, the lava field was an easy walk, and the turtles swam right up to see us. We were lucky enough to be the only 2 people on the trip and Chris happily altered it to suit our interests. It's a long, but stunning day, well worth the cost. Can't thank Chris enough.

Give it a go! - Amazing to be able to swim so close with the turtles. Our tour guide was lots of fun and told us heaps about Samoa culture which we really enjoyed. We stopped at a beautiful beach and had the most delicious lunch at this lovely restaurant. The only down fall was the tour ended at 2pm to catch ferry back to Apia, it would of been great to spend more time on the island. Would recommend a longer tour if possible.

Best memories of Samoa - This was the best tour we have been on. Chris really knows his country he was so informative such a bubbly, friendly and polite person we had so many laughs. The only reason I give 4 stars is purely because it wasn’t long enough because of the ferry catching otherwise it’s definitely a 5 star I would definitely recommend this particular company if this is your first time to samoa or if you just want the knowledge. fa’afetai lava uso we will see you on the next tour for the other side or Savai’i and I remembered i’a sa not ninja turtle. Lol

Not worth the money spent - The tour was definitely not worth the money paid. I spent $663AUD for 2 people and it was a very rushed tour. Our guide couldn’t make it due to a migraine and whilst Chris was very informative regarding the history and culture, he seemed to want to take shortcuts and end the tour quickly like “turn back so we don’t get caught in the rain”, took us to a different resort that is “closer to the wharf” just to find out his family lived across the road. We did not go to Stevensons nor did we have time to snorkel and enjoy the beach as promised in the advert and in fact when we jumped in the water for 2 minutes, we were asked to leave so we don’t miss the ferry. I asked for 10 minutes in the water and was told “sorry this is our itinerary unless you want to miss the ferry and take the 2 hour ferry back at 4PM. As I said, it seemed like he wanted to get us back before the tour even started. Swimming with the turtles was not enjoyable at all as we had a strict 20 minute timeframe and there was a family with loud children who were tugging and hurting the turtles. Our trip to the lava fields was boring and quiet. The 2 ladies who were asked us down to the virgins grave were more interested in laughing and talking to each other in Samoan than giving us any information at all on our walk. We seemed like a bother to them All in all, not a great experience and spent more time on the tour in transit than sightseeing Savaiis beautiful offerings. Wouldn’t recommend.
