We’ll start with a brief language lesson where I’ll teach you a few Polish greetings and how to introduce yourself in my native language. Next, I’ll cover Polish geography, climate, and some interesting facts. I’ll also delve into Polish history, including World War II, the Solidarity movement, and the transformative changes in 1989 that helped Poland transition to democracy and flourish. We’ll explore Polish traditions, and I’ll show you a video of my brother’s wedding in Kielce, Poland. Poland has 16 National Holidays, and I’ll discuss my favorite, All Saints Day. Finally, I’ll invite you to try my mom’s famous pierogi and share the recipe so you can make them yourself.

Fun, culture, pierogi - What a fabulous event. We had so much fun learning about Poland and Polish culture with Gosia. She is an amazing host and made us feel at home from the first minute. The presentation was informative and interesting and it was so lovely hearing all of Gosia’s personal touches and experiences during the evening. I would really recommend this experience to anyone with Polish heritage or who is traveling to or just interested in Poland. And the pierogis were to die for!! Such a fabulous end to the evening.
