We’ll start with a brief language lesson where I’ll teach you a few Polish greetings and how to introduce yourself in my native language. Next, I’ll cover Polish geography, climate, and some interesting facts. I’ll also delve into Polish history, including World War II, the Solidarity movement, and the transformative changes in 1989 that helped Poland transition to democracy and flourish. We’ll explore Polish traditions, and I’ll show you a video of my brother’s wedding in Kielce, Poland. Poland has 16 National Holidays, and I’ll discuss my favorite, All Saints Day. Finally, I’ll invite you to try my mom’s famous pierogi and share the recipe so you can make them yourself.

Participants will be guided through a tour of contemporary Poland. The session begins with a brief language lesson, followed by an exploration of Polish geography, climate, and intriguing facts. The workshop will delve into Polish history, including World War II, the Solidarity movement, and the pivotal changes in 1989 that facilitated Poland’s transition to democracy. Additionally, attendees will learn about Polish wedding traditions through a video of the instructor’s brother’s wedding. Poland celebrates 16 holidays, and the session will highlight one of the most cherished, All Saints Day.
To conclude, participants will have the chance to taste the renowned homemade pierogi and receive the recipe to make them.
