Temple of Apollo - This temple is the focal point of a vast archaeological area, featuring the Treasuries of the Siphnians and Athenians, a theatre, and a stadium. The museum visit includes the famous Delphic Charioteer and the statue of Antinous, Hadrian’s beloved.
Arachova - Arachova, a charming mountain resort, is a favorite winter destination near Athens for skiing. Visitors can unwind, take in the stunning scenery, or enjoy coffee at one of the delightful cafés.
Thermopylae Museum - The tour continues to the site and museum commemorating Leonidas and his 300 Spartans’ stand against Xerxes of Persia at Thermopylae, or the “Hot Gates.” Despite their defeat, the Spartans’ courage enabled other Greek city-states to rally and ultimately triumph over the Persians at the Battle of Salamis.
Kalabaka - The journey concludes at Meteora, where the group stays overnight. Dinner is served with a view of the monasteries, which will be visited the following day.
