Dorze Village
Dorze Village - Upon arrival at Arba Minch airport in the early afternoon, meet your guide and driver and travel to Dorze village, located in the Gamo Highlands, approximately 40 minutes from Arba Minch town. The Dorze community is renowned for their hospitality, weaving, pottery, highland rural lifestyle, traditional elephant-shaped bamboo houses, and cuisine made from “Enset,” the false banana plant. After exploring Dorze village, return to Arba Minch to enjoy a sunset drink and meal with a view of the stunning Nech Sar National Park and the two Rift Valley lakes.
Konso Village
Konso - After breakfast, journey to Konso village. This area is a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its sustainable lifestyle and distinctive traditional cultures. Enjoy a guided tour of the village led by local guides and residents, featuring impressive terraced farmland, stone-carved villages, and a visit to the local market, which operates on Mondays and Thursdays. Have lunch at Kanta Lodge, and before returning to Arba Minch, visit the Konso museum, constructed by UNESCO.

Chamo Lake - After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning hike through the lush “forty springs” forest of Nech Sar National Park (“Arba Minch” means “forty springs” in the local language). In this dense forest, you may encounter wildlife such as warthogs, colobus monkeys, baboons, dik-diks, vervet monkeys, and various bird species in the canopy. You can also take a refreshing dip in the groundwater spring, a pristine natural bath.
After lunch, embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo, one of the Rift Valley lakes. The lake is vast and tranquil, offering opportunities to observe Nile crocodiles, hippos, pelicans, and other birdlife. Local fishermen are also active on the lake, providing insight into local livelihoods. Afterwards, return to the hotel.
