Addis Ababa to Arba Minch
Arba Minch - Day 1: On our first day, we will drive from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. During the journey, we will stop for lunch to enjoy local cuisine and pause at various scenic spots for photos. Late in the afternoon, we will ascend into the mountains to Chencha to visit the Dorze people. They are renowned for their weaving culture, which is evident in their beautiful cotton garments, fences, and beehive-shaped bamboo huts. Here, you will learn about their traditions, visit their homes, and experience their daily lifestyle. You will also see the process behind the production of food and alcohol from the famous banana trees and leaves.

Arba Minch to Jinka
Jinka - Day 2: After an early breakfast, we will drive to the Konso Village (a UNESCO site) to visit the Konso people and their terraces. The Konso Village is fascinating to explore as you drive high into the hills and observe their elaborate security constructions, wooden structures, and unique pole erections. After visiting the Konso Village, we will have a quick lunch and continue our drive to Jinka, with a stop at a Konso market.

Jinka to Turmi
Turmi - Day 3: We will drive to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe. They are famous for the unique custom among their women, who, upon reaching maturity, have their lower lips slit and circular disks (lip plates) inserted. This is one of our clients’ favorite visits, so be well-rested and excited. In the afternoon, we will drive to Turmi, stopping along the way to visit the Bena and Hamar tribes.

Turmi - Day 4: In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to the Karo Tribe’s village of Korcho, which offers a panoramic view of the Omo River. The Karo are fascinating and eager to display their face and body paintings and elaborate body decorations. They are considered the least populous among the Omo Valley tribes.

Turmi to Arba Minch
Arba Minch - Day 5: After another early morning breakfast, we will drive towards the Kenyan border to visit the Dassanech tribe. Here, you will learn about their hunting and farming lifestyle, visit their unique villages, and understand the construction behind them. The Dassanech are known for their dancing, and you will hopefully get to see it. After the visit, we will drive back to Arba Minch.

Arba Minch to Hawassa
Hawassa - Day 6: After breakfast, we will embark on one of the most interesting boat trips in Ethiopia. We will take a boat trip on Lake Chamo, the second-largest lake in Ethiopia, to see the biggest crocodiles in Africa, as well as hippos, various birds, and monkeys. After the boat trip, we will drive to Hawassa in the afternoon. From there, we will walk around the shoreline of Lake Hawassa.

Hawassa to Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa - Day 7: After breakfast, we will visit one of the unique markets in Hawassa, known as the Fish Market. This is a great opportunity to see how locals sell and prepare fish, and to meet different fishermen. Afterward, we will continue our drive to Addis Ababa, stopping for lunch with amazing views of the lake.
