A walk in the magical forest and super warm with temperatures below 0 - A magnificent expedition!! The friendliness and super friendly treatment have given us a very good opportunity to know human warmth!

Magical horse drawn sleigh ride thru a winter wonderland - Magical ride thru a winter wonderland. Wonderful morning experience. Johnny. Picked us up at our hotel. The farm is lovely. You can tell it is a family business by the care they take in everything and the love they show the horses. We took a long leisurely sleigh ride. They provide the gear to keep you toasty and warm. Stopped for drinks and Mom’s home and cinnamon buns. Heard local stories and was lulled into the sounds of the forest and the rushing water of the lake. Perfect way to end our trip in Alta

A unique experience in Norwegian family culture!from a simple car ride to a meal of typical recipes! - We found it fantastic! We did not have the brilliant opportunity of a night with dawn, but the opportunity to stroll by the frozen river Alta, standing in a typical cottage, fireplace and a typical meal (ren sandwich with cabbage and cloudberrie cream) and dessert heated cinnamon bread (mother recipe according to the brothers who welcomed us throughout the tour!!!

Beauty of Arctic country side with the majesty of Norwegian Fjord Horses - Our Sleigh ride around the arctic country side was an amazing experience! All the views on the ride were just breath taking. Our both the Guides, the one who picked us from hotel and the one who was riding the horse were great! They interacted with all of us very well. The homemade freshly baked Cinnamon rolls that were provided along with Blueberry juice was just delicious. All in all I would recommend everyone to do it.

Well worth a visit - This was a brilliant excursion. We were picked up from the cruise port which was easy due to the car having “Flatmoen Natur” on the side. We were then taken to the farm for the sleigh ride. Which was magical. We were the only 2 on the tour so going through the woods on the sleigh was very quiet and peaceful with a bit of snow falling. We then had coffee and cinnamon rolls heated up over a roaring fire which was a lovely touch and a bit different to the usual excursions where we had a coffee in a lodge at the end of the sleigh ride.
I highly recommend this excursion, everything was perfect and everyone was really friendly.

Magical and not to be missed !! - This is a “not to be missed” excursion! It was magical and exhilarating from beginning to end. Our host and guide, Johnny, made sure that we were well suited up for a trip into the Alta forest and countryside at a temperature of -21 degrees Centigrade. Boots, mittens, snowshoes and snowsuits along with warm blankets were all provided and we set off into the beauty of nature! A campfire stop with hot drinks and cinnamon rolls (freshly baked by Johnny’s wife) was a treat indeed.
I thoroughly recommend a trip with Flatmoen Farm and the lovely family that run the excursions throughout the year. You can have a cowboy experience in the summer or evening book a cabin to stay in with a glass roof and jacuzzi to enjoy the northern lights :). Magical!

A quite magical experience! - Everything about this trip was magical. Johnny and Levi were great. Food on the trip was delicious - a totally unique and wonderful trip, the highlight of our holiday.

Experience of a lifetime - We had an amazing trip with the horse sleigh, trough the darkness looking over the beautiful artic landscape. We stopped at a little hut with a bonfire and got a lovely home cooked meal, cooked on the fire. We a night with good conversations and good food while sitting in what felt like a real life christmas card. The hosts were very kind and sweet people. We had a night we will never forget and recommend everybody who is visiting Alta to book this experience. You won’t regret it!

Still Smiling - Coming from Australia we took the opportunity to experience Norway with a local in a unique way. Johnny met us with a smile on his face and a friendly helping hand when I needed extra help getting into the coach and sleigh. He was genuinely interested in where we were from and shared his knowledge of his local town. The farm is beautiful and we were kitted out with extra gear just to be sure we were warm, introduced to his son and the pony then into the sleigh for our journey along the Alta River. We were joined on our trip by a lovely young couple from Sweden. The ride was magical .. the sleigh bells were ringing and I had Bing Crosby singing White Christmas in my head even though it was March. Flatmoen Natur is a family business who welcome you into their wonderful world for a period of time to share the magic that is Alta and its country side in a very unique way. I would highly recommend this adventure.
