At 11:30, the local guide will commence the walking tour of the Caminito del Rey, constructed in 1921 to honor the visit of King Alfonso XIII of Spain. From this point, the breathtaking natural setting between the Sierra de Almarchón and the Gorge of the Gaitanes, traversed by the Guadalhorce River, can be admired.
The trail spans approximately 7 kilometers, with 3 kilometers involving a walk across a suspension bridge over 100 meters high, built between the gorge’s walls.
