Explore El Caminito del Rey, one of the most sought-after and awe-inspiring destinations. This tour offers a unique natural setting along a breathtaking path that traverses the Gorge of the Gaitanes in the province of Malaga.
In 1921, El Caminito del Rey received its name in honor of King Alfonso XIII, who visited the site. Over time, neglect led to its severe deterioration, making it the most perilous path in Europe and resulting in several casualties.
Following an outstanding restoration, the Caminito del Rey is now completely safe and accessible, with sections constructed using the original structures built by the Chorro Station Hydroelectric Society.
This walk runs parallel to the railway tracks, allowing visitors to enjoy the renowned route through the Gaitanes gorge and the Gaitanejo. The 7-kilometer journey from Ardales to Álora is filled with excitement and surprises.
It is a wonderful experience for nature enthusiasts, offering spectacular landscapes and opportunities for stunning photography.
