• Cueva Ventana - Experience the stunning beauty of Cueva Ventana in Arecibo. This renowned limestone cave, situated on a cliff, provides a breathtaking view of the Rio Grande de Arecibo valley through its well-known “window.” The journey begins with a hike through a vibrant tropical forest, where diverse plant life can be seen, offering a peaceful encounter with Puerto Rico’s natural scenery.

Inside the cave, explore its intriguing features, including ancient Taíno petroglyphs carved by Puerto Rico’s indigenous people, providing insight into the island’s rich pre-Columbian heritage. As you navigate through the cave’s chambers, learn about the various types of bats and their ecosystems. Your knowledgeable guide will offer insights into the cave’s ecological importance. The tour concludes at the famous “window,” where a stunning panoramic view of the valley awaits, perfect for capturing unforgettable moments.

This is a moderate hike, not extreme.

• Rio Tanama - Refresh yourself and enjoy hidden waterfalls while river trekking into one of the karstic zone canyons. After a 15-minute hike through water and beautiful rock formations, reach one of the most remarkable waterfalls in the northern region. Here, you can swim, go under the waterfalls, and try cliff jumping (all optional at the second waterfall). Expect to get wet and enter water up to chest level (life jackets are provided).

Important: If weather conditions are unsafe for water activities, a visit to a natural spring will be arranged instead.
