Whispers of the Past: A Journey Through Time
As the crisp autumn air settles over Areni, the village becomes a canvas painted with hues of amber and gold. The first day of November offers a clear sky, a perfect backdrop for a journey through time. Begin your exploration with the Tatev Adventure, where the Wings of Tatev cable car will carry you over the abyss, whispering tales of ancient monks and scholars who once walked these paths. The monastery, perched on the edge of a cliff, stands as a sentinel of history, its stones echoing the chants of a bygone era.
The journey continues to the Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge, a marvel of engineering that connects the old and new worlds. As you step onto the bridge, the wind carries stories of the past, of families who once called the caves below home. The view from the bridge is a tapestry of history, with the four churches of Khndzoresk standing as silent witnesses to the passage of time.
“Amazing weekend - It was an amazing experience. Syunik province is the historical jewel of Armenia and the tour was even more awesome, informative and exciting thanks to guide Yegor, who is an enthusiast of his job and expert of history. He gave detailed and engaging information about Armenia and every place we visited. About given free time, it was totally enough for enjoying yourself. The driver Gevorg is an experienced one as well. The day was memorable and the destination is worth visiting” - Reviewed at 2024-08-19
The Dance of Shadows: Embracing the Elements
The second day dawns with a promise of rain, a gentle reminder of nature’s unpredictable beauty. As the clouds gather, the landscape transforms into a mysterious realm, perfect for a day of introspection and discovery. The Monastery Tour offers a sanctuary from the elements, where the ancient walls of Khor Virap and Noravank stand resilient against the test of time.
The rain adds a layer of mystique to the journey, as droplets dance on the stone paths, creating a symphony of sound that resonates with the soul. The Noravank Monastery, with its unique two-story architecture, invites you to explore its secrets, each step revealing a new chapter in its storied past.
“One of the best tours of my life - I didn’t think anything could beautify my impression of Yerevan any more, but Pogos and Gregory succeeded. Pogos, as a guide, answered all my questions, even those that were not directly related to the subject of the tour. A very kind and decent man who instantly has his subtle sense of humor and deep erudition. He even gave us fresh apples that grew near the temple of the Tates. Thanks to Gregory’s high driving skills, we were everywhere on time (despite the fact that my girlfriend and I were photographed everywhere, thus stretching the Trips a bit). In the car with Grigory felt very comfortable, you can see with the naked eye the very long experience of the person driving. In addition, Gregory always specified whether the temperature in the car was comfortable for us, which also shows his attentiveness towards customers. Trips and excursions to Yerevan are also planned in the future and I will always ask Hyur Service that these excursions take place with Pogos and Gregory. I really hope to see them again and again.” - Reviewed at 2024-09-22
