- Pichu Pichu - The first part of our biking tour will be on the slope of the Pichu Pichu volcano, we will begin the downhill from 4275m (14025ft); throughout the journey we will observe the Misti volcano and the Arequipa countryside. This part of the route is unpaved (dirt road) and everything is downhill until you reach the traditional town of Cachamarca (3100m - 10170 ft). The road is dirt but it is quite wide so it is suitable for most travelers and does not require being an expert in downhill routes. Our 4x4 transport accompanies the group throughout the tour, serving as support and security for our group.
- Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Around 3820m (12532ft) we will find the only Queñua forest in Arequipa, this tree is very important for the city’s water supply, this forest is part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
- Chiguata - After the downhill we will bike through the Chiguata countryside, in this charming district of Arequipa we find pre-Inca agricultural terraces, in addition to the crops we will observe farm animals such as cows, donkeys, sheeps, horses and alpacas. We will also visit the town square where a beautiful colonial church built with volcanic stone stands out; In this quiet place we will take a break to eat and rest. In the countryside the terrain is also dirt but with unevenness, so you will have to pedal uphill in some sections of the route, but don’t worry, since they are small slopes of moderate demand, however if you feel tired you can get on a our transport and continue that part in the car until the paved part. The last part is paved, this route is after the town square to the river where we finished our biking tour. We load the bicycles to the 4x4 transport and return to Arequipa.
