PUNO – CHIVAY – LA CALERA (HOT SPRINGS)

Arequipa - At 6 a.m., a local guide will pick up guests from their hotel in Puno to transfer them to the transport and commence the tour to the Colca Valley.

The journey includes brief stops: Lagunillas for observing Andean birds, flamingos, Andean geese, and seagulls, and Patahuasi for a technical stop by SSHH.

The next destination is the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where visitors can see and photograph llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas.

The tour continues to Patapampa, also known as the Mirador de los Volcanes, situated at 4910 meters above sea level.

From this vantage point, one can view significant snow-capped mountains, including Misti and other volcanoes.

La Calera Thermal Waters - Upon arrival in Chivay, guests will be received and accommodated at the hotel, with free time for lunch.

In the afternoon at 3:00 p.m., the tour proceeds to the hot springs of La Calera, where the thermal baths or pools contain thermo-medicinal water exceeding 40°C.

Return to the hotel.

CHIVAY – YANQUE- CRUZ DEL CONDOR – COLCA CANYON

Mirador Cruz del Condor - After breakfast at the hotels, at 06:00 a.m., guests are picked up to start the excursion to the Colca Canyon, the Cruz del Cóndor, and witness the flight of the condors.

The itinerary includes visits to the traditional and ancestral towns of Yanque, the church dedicated to the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, local crafts, and the representative dance of Colca Wititi.

Colca Canyon - At 08:10 a.m., the guided tour of the Colca Canyon begins, lasting approximately 1 hour.

Chivay - Afterward, the tour returns to Chivay, passing through Maca to visit the Santa Ana church, adorned with altarpieces covered in gold leaf. Guests arrive in Chivay for lunch and then continue the journey to Arequipa (or Puno).

For the return, there are two options to choose from:
– Return to Puno (8pm)
– Continue to Arequipa (6pm)
