Colonial architecture. - Excellent example about colonial architecture and the way of life back then, the monastery transports you to another time, time became short when visiting this place. Highly recommended and mandatory to visit when one is in Arequipa.

very interesting - The convent is a real city in the city. It is essential to take a guide (there are several Francophones) if you want to understand the life of the nuns and not get lost in the maze.

Not to be missed - The convent covers a very large area as it is articulated as a neighborhood with streets and likes where each small house was the home of a nun. Recommendation to use the multilingual guides available at the entrance (after the ticket office) whose payment is separate (costs are displayed at the ticket office) to optimize time and have a complete picture of the complex

Don't miss out on this gem! - Wandering around this place was bliss. The story of its history and the gorgeous colours everywhere are amazing! We got in early and we're lucky that there we're no big crowds yet. Take your time to soak up the atmosphere and tranquility of the place. If you stay in Arequipa don't miss out on this place!!

Private Tour in Arequipa with Guide Carlos Nuñez - We toured the city of Arequipa with Guide Carlos Nuñez through the viewpoints, most relevant monuments of the city and showed us in a very enjoyable and Pro way the life of the city, including its market. Highly recommended.

Imagine an historical Ikea store? - This place has a huge footprint and once you start along the path- escape is limited to following the metal arrows to the end- like ikea- hugely enjoyable and a fascinating glimpse into the life of a nun over the years- multi lingual explanations and beautifully presented. Lovely little cafes within the footprints as well.

Soothing visit - We followed the advice of the Backpacker Guide and we were not disappointed! We didn’t know what to expect and this monastery full of colors and history is beautiful. We had a great time finding out.

You must have seen it, but it's not a mega must do. - Must do in Arequipa. It is very nice and quiet for being in such a big city. Unfortunately the app doesn't always work so I didn't have the English explanation for every room. Very unfortunate...
