Additional Information

From 6:00 am to 06:30 am - We’ll collect you from your city hotel in Arequipa and proceed to Pillones Waterfall. The journey will take around two hours, culminating in our arrival at the trailhead. Our first halt will be at the town of Pampa de Arrieros, historically recognized as the gateway to the ‘white city’ for train travelers.

At 10:30 am - We’ll reach the start of the trek. Please dress warmly as the elevation can make it quite chilly. The journey to the Pillones Waterfall includes carefully navigating a rocky hill descent and a trail beside a river before we finally arrive at the waterfall.

By 01:00 pm - We’ll have reached the Imata stone forest, where we’ll allocate around 40 minutes for everyone to freely capture images as they please.

Finally, at 05:00 pm - We’ll return to the heart of Arequipa.

Tour Liberty the best! - The agency is super friendly, the guide is always ready to help us with photos, at least with those of us who travel alone. I recommend Liberty Tour for its excellent coordination with the agencies.

Beautiful day tour - We didn't think that so close to the city of Arequipa we would find these 2 natural beauties! The Imata stone forest, volcanic stones in all their forms forming different figures and erosions and the Pillones Waterfall, a beautiful natural waterfall, we loved the walk where along the way we were able to appreciate the beautiful vicuñas in all their splendor. We stopped at a restaurant where we could have mate for the altitude that we liked very well and a delicious breakfast. On the way back we stopped right there for lunch. We loved this day trip where you can appreciate the natural beauties of our beautiful Peru.

Excellent experience - Excellent communication, they sent us the itinerary on time. The guide that we had, Fany, was very kind and attentive, especially with my mother, who is an elderly person, and with another member of the group, she helped them climb to the falls. We loved the tour and were able to take great photos!

Bad communication, but nice tour - Good tour, however communication before the tour was very difficult 😞 had to send 3 e-Mails and 2 what’s up to get finally a response about pick up place and time. This was unnecessary stress

Less than expected - I expected more. The tour leaves from Arequipa in the morning, you do some stops on the way with the highlights being the Stone Forest and the Pillones Waterfall. Basically you sit in the bus the whole day, the stops and short hikes only take a few minutes and almost no distance. So if you are looking for a hike, this one is not your tour! Most other guests will be elderly aunts in their Wednesday-to-church-pumps. The views over the vast landscape are great, but this is included in and one of the tours you can do in the area. Not recommended if you are looking at least for a little bit of adventure or outdoor activity.
