Highlights
- Podere di Pomaio Green Winery - Wine Taste&Tour is our personal interpretation of a wine tasting. An experience branded Podere di Pomaio that takes places in a couple of relaxing and interesting hours focused on organic quality wine and its production. Most of the experience takes place in the open air, and the tasting too can take place in the terrace garden of the winery, under the Tuscan sun (according to the weather). The experience is safe and enjoyable, thanks to the big outside area we have.
The tour is divided in 3 phases. A tour of the vineyard will introduce us to the principles of organic cultivation, a tour in the modern ECO-Green cellar, included among the 14 most beautiful modern wineries of Tuscany, will tell us more about the vinification technique and everything that is related to an organic production. We’ll end our tour with a tasting of 3 wines combined with great craft food from local producers.

Located just 3mi (5 km) away from the heart of Arezzo, you’re a mere 10 minute drive from an exceptional wine tasting experience. It’s one of Tuscany’s 14 most attractive wineries, notable for its environmentally sustainable bio-architecture wine cellar and its ‘Think Green’ production philosophy. The tour allows you to explore the vineyards, the wine cellar, and taste 3 wines paired with Tuscan cured meats and pecorino cheese. You can also opt to enjoy lunch as part of the wine tasting.

In front of the tasting room. No public transports to the winery. You can rent a car/take a taxi from town (only 5km away, around €15/ride). By car with GPS: Via delle Conserve 50, 52100 Arezzo, to avoid the longest way, once at the destination, go straight for 2km and you'll find us on the right.

This one is a good one! - Great wine, olive oil and great staff! Well worth the money and time spent doing this trip. The ride up to the property is a little steep so be prepared for that.

Wonderful tasting and tour at a gorgeous organic winery. - We booked this last minute and it was such a great experience. The tour was really informative about the vineyard and the wine industry in the region and the tasting was out of this world. Our host taught us the tricks to a good tasting and identifying the different profiles. Plus the food was incredible as was the wine. A must do when in Arezzo!

I recommend the experience - Iacopo was an excellent guide. Tho the tour was short, it was sweet and they didn’t rush us, but allowed us to take our time. We learned about the wine they produce and about the tasting process. We tasted 3 different types of red wine, along with some local charcuterie and the olive oil they produce as well. Everything was tasty! We didn’ know, but they also offer cooking lessons, which I advice you check out. Overall I would recommend the experience!

Unmatched hospitality - Wow! Words can not describe this amazing winery. The hospitality of Podere di Pomaio is one of a kind. The tasting was explained so thorough and we even got to see the wine making process live. The location is so close to town but if given the opportunity I would stay at one of the villas. 10/10!

Delicious, informative and an experience!!! - It was a fantastic experience. The organizers of the family business were professional and very friendly. We felt comfortable and it was an informative experience. The wine cellar was quaintly beautiful and a charming young lady explained everything to us in detail. The food was delicious and the three wines were terrific. The wine and olive oil purchase was offered very discreetly and we were happy to stock up on two types of wine, "rosé and a delicious red wine", as well as olive oil.
We were told how to recognize good wines, which we will use in the future :-). We were very excited that we will be able to have the range delivered to Germany in the future.
A beautiful holiday home is also on offer, which we have already set our sights on :-).
All in all, it was a great two hours instead of one and a half and for €35, unbeatable!!!

I recommend to take the time, learn about the grapes and the wines, it was just perfect. - A wonderfull guide in English, great wines, great view. We loved it. The wineyard at first, the tasting with the best cheese and meat, everything was worth it. Highly recommended
