Additional Information

Join me for an unforgettable day trip to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. The Brazilian side is equally magnificent, so we’ll cover both from ground level. However, the Argentine side offers the best view of the Garganta del Diablo, the Devil’s Throat - the tallest fall. You’ll come face to face with this monstrosity at an astonishing 90 m above the lower river course. Over the 8.7 km of trekking trails, you’ll encounter constantly changing, awe-inspiring views of this natural miracle. Following the waterfall visit, look forward to a picnic at the tri-border area. The dynamic picnic basket could include a bottle of Malbec or Chardonnay, alternatively, you might get a litre of fruit juice plus a litre of mineral water, four Argentine empanadas, or a tropical fruit salad.

  • So my tip: try to be there a few minutes before the park opens.
  • The morning temperatures are more pleasant for customers who are not used to the subtropical climate.
  • The park opens at 08:00 local time and closes at 16:00.
  • I therefore always recommend leaving early to avoid traffic jams.
  • Please note that no animals may be fed or touched!!!
  • After redeeming the tickets, after a few hundred meters you will arrive at the central train station, from where a train, natural gas-powered locomotive with open passenger cars, leaves the station every 15 minutes for the various hiking trails, three in total. Since the maximum speed is 7km/h, it is great for taking photos. and make films while driving, or just enjoy the breathtaking nature with its unique flora and fauna.
  • Trails such as Devil’s Throat and Upper Trail are suitable even for those with walking aids or wheelchairs as the walkways are built flat across the upper course of the Iguacu River.
  • The lower trail includes around 180 steps and therefore requires a little more physical strength.
  • Light shoes with non-slip soles are recommended for the hikes.
  • Please note that my tours are not marathons, but serve to give the customer enough time to take in the whole thing so that they can also enjoy it.
  • If you are not planning a longer trip to Argentina, I advise you not to exchange a lot of money, since the Argentine peso has lost much of its value and is not accepted everywhere in Brazil.
  • Washrooms, toilets, bars, bistros and restaurants can be found at almost all stations.

Morning visit in Iguazu Fall ( in Argentina). - The morning driver came on time at 8am. Our tour in the park was Martin who accompanied us all the way through the park. He pointed out the best viewpoints, invisible birds, insects, and animals from time to time and took numerous pictures for us. We are grateful for his help and would recommend his tour to anyone who comes to this beautiful park. The tour tour ends at noon. Afterwards another driver drove us to the Triangular viewpoint for a visit. It was very hot, so we stayed there for a very short time.

An unforgatable day in Iguazu - What a wonderful and unforgetable day! Rodrigo was a pleasure to have as our tour guide, he has a long time experience in tourism and speaks perfectly portuguese, spanish, english and german! Due to the demolished path ways on the Argentina side, we had an individual day and saw both sides plus we had the opportunity to do an helicopter flight! Rodrigo helped us all day long to save time and gave us many tips and informations not only about Iguazu and the waterfalls, he new also everything about Brasil and Latin Amerika! Thank you Rodrigo for that amazing day!

Top Guide - Was one of the most wonderful trips we've ever had, simply breathtaking. (It's not one of the seven wonders of the world for nothing). The bird park is also very beautiful. The guide Rodrigo Engel was particularly excellent, very informative, cool, laid-back guy, funny and helpful with lots of tips, highly recommended. Thank you Rodrigo, you were sent from heaven (it's not for nothing that your name is Engel with NN) Best wishes Harry and Elli

How Wide is this River? - The width of the river just blew me away! But the walk was extremely long for a senior - physical prep is required!

Highly recommended!! - Our guide Rodrigo was incredible for this private tour. He is very organized and contact us two days prior for final details and options for the picnic basket. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and crossing borders was a breeze with his help. He is fluent in English and several other languages. He was very informative with his knowledge of different aspects of the area. The Argentinian falls are spectacular and Rodrigo made the entire experience most memorable.
