a journey through prehistory - We visited both, the Valley of the Moon or Ischigualasto is in San Juan and there continue to be discovered remains of animals from the prehistoric fauna, the tour is done by caravan and several stops are made, it is very interesting, it is worth the trip. Talampaya is in La Rioja, the tour is done in company vehicles, which are hired there, you have to reserve the day and time online. It is the only place in the world where geological strata from the Triassic can be seen and studied, meaning that earlier stages are seen than in Ischigualasto, although both are part of the same geological zone. My suggestion is to do one every day to appreciate more carefully and not confuse them.

Talampaya National Paraue - Spectacular place. The magnitude of nature and colors is magnificent. Super recommended. Admission is expensive but every peso is justified In the surroundings is the Ischigualasto National Park and there is nothing else. We stayed in villa La Unión

Safety pin - Unmissable landscapes, the visit is well organized. High prices, the entrance fee plus the excursion. The reception and waiting area is well equipped.

Private 👋👋👋 - The Canyon is spectacular, nature itself is incredible. I leave a space because I had a bad moment at the ticket office, it is too long to tell. But it's already happened. The lack of friendliness of the person who helped me cost me time and money.

Only one in the world - Incredible landscapes. A place to see things uncommon in the rest of the world. A paradise of geology.

Great experience! Highly recommended - We did the Talampaya and Balconies Tour Experience, we booked through their official website and we had no problems. I recommend making an online reservation for the excursion and to enter the national park in advance. We were the first group at 9am so it was good that it wasn't full of people and we had more of a “group” experience and not such an excursion. The guide was Roberto or Rubén, I don't remember well, but what matters is that it was excellent service. It was obvious that he knew a lot about what he was showing us and was willing to answer any questions we had. Also great photographer! Early in the morning it was about 10 degrees so you had to go quite warm. But around noon it went up to 25 and you left all your coats on the bus. I recommend bringing sunscreen, a sun hat and water. The trekking to the balconies takes approximately 1 hour round trip, at a very accessible level. The place to eat is not very expensive, it is of good quality but it does not have much variety.

Talampaya, Moon Valley, Rafting, Winery, Trekking and Olive Grove - I share a trip at the end of July and beginning of August from San Juan with a rental car. We are a family with teenage children and they enjoyed the entire trip. DAY 1: arrival in San Juan, check in at a hotel on the outskirts of the city (duplex with two bedrooms, living room, closed parking; excellent service, amenities and price). Then, we went to the olive oil factory "Campo de Olivos" in the Zonda area. Good, simple and non-overwhelming explanation of the organic process and tasting of vinegar and oil. From there, we continued west to a boutique hotel where we had lunch outdoors, at the foot of the mountains. Nap and walk around the city. DAY 2: visit to the city's Urban Museum. We were hoping to see the earthquake simulator there, but "it's broken." At noon, we had a guided tour of the Fincas Azules winery scheduled. We did the tour and then had a 5-course lunch with wine tasting. Great moment of the trip. Beautiful surroundings and delicious food. At night, Sunday, we went to the fair-flea market that was exploding in the central square of San Juan. DAY 3: trip to JACHAL. We stayed at LA HUELLA, on the outskirts of the city, some country houses from which you can see the mountains and excellent attention from their owners. We had lunch and went out to the La Ciénaga campsite, from where we had scheduled a trekking with Enzo, an excellent park ranger guide. It was a 3 hour walk. We went through different geological periods, landscapes, crossed a watercourse on foot, followed footprints and received very interesting information. It was worth it. In the evening, dinner in the center of Jachal. DAY 4: We woke up at 6:30 to leave at 7 to TALAMPAYA. It was a 2 hour trip and we had the excursion scheduled at 9. We misloaded the destination at the entrance to the National Park and in reality we had to go to the entrance to the Canyon. We arrived late and they moved us to the 11 o'clock shift. Wonderful landscapes and a very good guide in Talampaya. From there, we went to ISCHIGUALASTO-VALLE DE LA LUNA. It is impressive how much better the access is in San Juan than in Talampaya, which is La Rioja. The Ischigualasto Museum is worth the visit (and perhaps even more than the visit in droves through the park). We returned and arrived tired at night at Jachal. DAY 5: to the Jachal River to do RAFTING. Fun experience. It is worth it because the descent of the river through landscapes and canyons is beautiful. And the explanations and descent with La Morada were very entertaining. From there, return to the San Juan airport. I pass on contacts from the experiences to whoever they find useful. Before traveling I had seen that most similar trips were made from La Rioja (or staying in Valle Fértil), but from San Juan and Jachal there are a couple more experiences that were worth it.

Natural Heritage National Park. - Very good, beautiful landscapes; To enjoy quietly, it is far from capital cities, a better option is to stay in small cities near the parks.
