- Vessels at Lake Melissani are 12-man rowboats with rower. Passengers may experience crowds while boarding the boats during the high Season of July & August
- The boat ride, spanning approximately 10-15 minutes, includes entry to the cave, the duration of which depends on the number of visitors in the queue.
- Visitors to Drogarati Cave must negotiate approximately 150 steep steps carved out of cave rock.
- Recommended Dress:Smart, Casual, Comfortable footwear.
- Visitors are not permitted to swim in the Lake, in order to preserve the natural environment and protect the site
- Please have available the necessary identification documents (EU Passengers-ID, International Passengers-Passport)

Excellent-highly recommended - Our guide was Maria M. She was very good! Pleasant, helpful, attentive to all guests young and old. She explained the tours highlights in two languages.

Beautiful tour of Kefalonia’s sights, not to be missed!! - Tour guide Maria was great, super friendly, and informative. She gave a very interesting tour on the coach on our way to the caves and a bit on the way back, talking about things we could see like towns, the big mountain, farms, a bit of history about the earthquake that destroyed most of Kefalonia, and bits of the culture.
Coach was very comfortable and nicely air conditioned.
The lakes and caves were absolutely stunning, and the rowing boat men sang in the caves too which sounded beautiful! They took photos of all the couples on the boat on the lake so is a great photo opportunity.
Myrtos beach was beautiful too, we stopped high on a cliff with a lovely view of the beach and blue sea.
The tour overran a little bit but was worth it as it didn’t feel rushed like other tours can do.
In summary: definitely book this tour if you’re visiting Kefalonia!!! Everything is so beautiful and enjoyable.

Very good excursion - Excellent excursion with guide Maria M. I recommend when you visit Kefalonia during cruise MSC. We see caves, underground lake, beautyfull beach Myrtos.

Interesting scenery and cave exploring in Argostoli - We enjoyed the scenery on the drive to the caves. Drogarati was a good first experience visiting a large cave, deep and tall enough to walk around and view the stalactites and stalagmites. We then went to Melissani Lake for the short but interesting boat ride through the lake in the collapsed cave. Boat driver was informative. Our guide, Maria M, had a lot of information about the area, and recommended a great restaurant to stop into after the tour.

Definitely a bucket list experience!!! - This whole day was a once in a lifetime experience. Our tour guide and bus driver were so kind and knowledgeable about everything. The caves were phenomenal to see and then the lake was absolutely jaw dropping. The queues were very long for the lake (2+ hours) but our tour guide waited while we sat in the shade!! I would 200% do this again

Nature is amazing 🤯 - Melissani Lake is an awesome place. Lake inside the mountain. Unusual clean blue water. You will never forget this view. Extraordinary experience. You must visit this place. 🇬🇷

10 minutes of Cave Experience - Worth a visit if you like Caves. But it was 90 minutes bus journey, 90 minutes of wait in the queue (due to cruise rush) followed by 2 minute boat ride in Melissani Cave and 10 minute in drogarati caves and then 60 minute return journey. Drogarati caves also needs around 150 steps climbing down and back up. Our Guide Sandra was good and tour was well organized.
