Renewing and Invigorating - Everything was fantastic. Great music, fun musicians, wonderful people, lots of laughter, everyone willing to risk in doing new dance moves. We would do it again!!!!

Great fun! - The food was good and the show and Scottish Country Dancing was a lot of fun. I was concerned about being a solo traveler but finding a partner to dance with was no problem.

It was a nice evening of dance for all ages - Everyone joined in on the attempt at dancing and the musicians were very good. Good food and traditional music.

Very beginner friendly - Fantastic atmosphere and a great live band. My partner had never danced before but they made it foolproof by having a practice before every dance

Lots of fun - We ate on the balcony, with it's superb view, then joined the ceilidh. The music (bagpipe and accordian, were good with clear instructions. The room was small and sweaty, fairly authentic, the dancing was enthusiastic and lots of fun. We joined in most of the dances, but you could sit out and watch. The musicians also played a couple of solo pieces and a girl dancer performed the highland fling and sailors hornpipe very well. The 2 hours flew by.

Too crowded in a small space - In fairness, we had just been to an incredible ceilidh at a private event, so this had much to live up to. However, the space for this ceilidh was quite small and there were too many participants. I had my ankle kicked very hard as not everyone recognized that they had a limited space. It was also very warm in the room. Perhaps on a quieter night it might be fun as the music was great but we did not enjoy our experience.

Rubbery vegetables - The food was below average, and the waitress was rude. Vegetables rubbery. Music good, only one appearance by girl dancing.

Be prepared - not a great experience - Be prepared before you purchase tickets! If you would like to have dinner at the restaurant before hand, book ahead. We arrived around 6.30 to be yelled at across the restaurant ‘if you don’t have a booking, you can’t eat here’ by a rather rude waitress. When we spoke to the barman, he said the restaurant books out every event but there would be seating up the back and around the sides of the dance area. When we arrived back, no one checked our tickets and we just walked in. All the seating at the back was taken, seemingly by restaurant patrons and we were told we couldn’t put seats along the side. Given we had our elderly parents with us, we questioned this and under much duress, we’re allowed to take chairs through to sit on. The music was nice, and the dancing was fun, however the whole event was very unorganised, the instructions were a bit confusing, and the staff were rude. We were really looking forward to this and were so disappointed at the experience. Given no one checked our tickets at any stage, we could have attended for free which would have softened the blow of a poor experience!
