Look no further and BOOK IT! - I can not say enough about Tom and the experience we had at Arlington. His personable nature and knowledge is beyond compare. It was like being with a family friend from start to finish! Tom was so accommodating to all of us (clean, comfortable beautiful vehicle, curbside pick up at drop off at locations of our choosing, sunscreen, cold water on hand just to name a few). He even went out of his was to to make my son wish come true to see Stumby the Cherry tree of all things! Tom and our tour was truly top notch and well worth it! We learned so much more with Tom than could have been done on our own accord. I highly recommend D C Military tours! It is something you will not regret. We will be using Tom in the future when we return to the area. If ease of travel, knowledge, comfort, true professionalism and a worthwhile memorable experience is what you are looking for.. stop searching! You found it! Thank you Tom!!!

Extraordinary Tour! - Our family’s in-depth tour of Arlington with veteran Tom Schultz of DC Military Tours was extraordinary!! Tom is down to earth and mellow and made the tour fun and fascinating for all 3 generations of our family. We greatly appreciated the depth of his knowledge regarding little known aspects of history and the way he illuminated the complexities and ironies of Arlington’s history.

Top notch! - Excellent tour! Our family of six went on this guided tour of Arlington National Cemetery. We were picked up at our hotel and had a comfortable trip to Arlington. The tour was perfect. He was able to customize it to our interests and we moved at a great pace. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job communicating with the whole group. I would recommend using this guide for any of your DC area tours!

Arlington National Cemetery - This was one of five experiences we had with Tom Schultz from DC Military Tours. As other reviewers have said, Tom has an extensive knowledge of the National Cemetery and walked my wife and I around, pointing out the key internments and monuments and giving plenty of background and context. The Guard change ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns was as moving as you would expect and Tom's knowledge of the details of the ceremony was excellent. We also stopped at the Marine Corps memorial at the end of the tour. Tom is much more than a tour guide. He is a historian who also has the knowledge and experience of a 20 year Navy veteran. On a practical level he picks up from your accommodation and drops you back at the end of the tour (that said, on this occasion, he kindly dropped us in Georgetown). Tom's knowledge is extensive as you would expect. That said, his superpower, if you like, is the ability to pitch and flex your experience to exactly what you are interested in. In Arlington he will seek out areas or individual burials for you. For us he took us to some of the less visited areas of the cemetery where the Civil War and First War burials are and where the USCT lie. Tom doesn't necessarily follow a set route or script, he's too good for that, and he will 'call an audible' if he thinks a stop somewhere would be interesting for you as his listens to your questions and comments. Tom's enthusiasm for history is obvious and somewhat infectious, and this makes him a perfect guide. We would highly recommend DCMT to anyone.

SuperTour - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour experiences with Tom, beginning with his providing transportation literally from doorstep to tour site and back for our group of 4. He was prompt, polite and cordial in manner. Since these were walking tours, Tom’s “pace” was relaxed; he always made sure we were in great vantage points for viewing and/or sidestepping tour delays from same site crowds. He demonstrated considerable knowledge about each tour, through his painting colorful stories about the people and grounds of each tour in a quite detailed, yet conversational style that was easy to follow. Tom readily responded to our questions(spontaneous, or from Tom’s own requests) in a thoughtful and comprehensive manner. As a result, we learned considerably about the facts and story lines for these particular American histories which we had not previously known, or just barely known. We highly recommend booking a tour with Tom.

Arlington away from the crowds - History filled, leisurely stroll around the grounds. Tom, our guide, was very knowledgeable and able to keep us away from the crowds and visit hidden gems within cemetery. He guided us to the best spot to watch the changing of the guard a t the tomb of the unknown. Highly recommend this tour
