Highlights
  • Arlington National Cemetery - A solemn testament to the consequences of conflict, Arlington National Cemetery stands as a dignified homage to the more than 400,000 military personnel and their relatives interred there. Discover the notable sepulchers, including the grave of President John F. Kennedy. We’ll also delve into some unexpected interments, such as the grave of renowned pugilist Joe Louis. The site also hosts monuments that honor the tragic events involving the space shuttles Columbia and Challenger.

Accompanied by a few select individuals like Audie Murphy, your knowledgeable guide will escort you to the Tomb of the Unknowns, where you might have the opportunity to observe the solemn Changing of the Guard ceremony. Traverse these sacred grounds to uncover the story of how Robert E. Lee’s residence, Arlington House, which we will visit, transformed into one of the nation’s most expansive national cemeteries.

Walking history Tour with a view - tributes and honor to our country and those that sacrificed to make it great. - Highly recommend The Arlington Cemetery & Changing of the Guard-Semi-private Tour. The views within the cemetery and the panoramic views of our nations capital are spectacular. Can't say enough about the changing of the Guard as it was an amazing synchronized site to experience. Maribeth, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with historical and unique facts you would not ordinarily get. I would say it was one of my favorite tours! Worth the walking!

Donna made Arlington’s history and people meaningful - Donna was an incredible guide. She was detailed and knowledgeable but also a great storyteller. Even my 14 year old was engaged the entire time. She times our tour perfectly - in spite of multiple roads under construction— so that we had zero wait time to see the changing of the guard. We learned a lot more than we would have a large group on a noisy bus .

Donna was amazing. - Our tour guide, Donna, was a great storyteller. She was engaging, animated, and detailed. We learned so much more about Arlington and those interred there than we would have on our own or even on a noisy crowded bus. Worth every penny.

Tour guide Maureen was excellent on our tour of Arlington. You’ll learn a lot. - Maureen did a wonderful job for our tour. We liked that it was a small group and we were able to ask additional questions. We learned a lot and Maureen took extra care to keep us in the shade as much as possible on an 86 degree day. She adjusted our walk so we could stay away from the larger groups and also enjoy the quiet of Arlington. Would highly recommend and would choose another tour if we were staying longer. Its a lot of walking which was fine for us but since its a hilly area make sure you have good walking shoes. Maureen provided many interesting stories and the 2 1/2 hours went by quick.
