Surrounded by mountain ranges, it offers breathtaking views of an alpine lake. Renowned for its pristine fresh water and pure mountain air, it has a positive impact on health.
- Monastery Sevanavank - The Sevanavank monastery complex is located on the Sevan peninsula. Founded in 305 by St. Gregory the Illuminator, it was built on the site of a former pagan temple. In the 9th century, the princes of Syunik supported Sevan. In 874, Mariam, the wife of Prince Vassak of Syunik and daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni, constructed two churches here – St. Arakeloc and St. Astvatcatcin. These churches are adorned with various wood-carved capitals, some of which are preserved in the Armenia State Museum of History and the Art Gallery of St. Petersburg (Hermitage). In 1869, a spiritual school was established within the complex. The remnants of a church with a domed hall are preserved on the mountain’s summit. The cloister’s territory is rich in khachkars (cross-stones).
- Haghartsin Monastery - Haghartsin Monastery is a spiritual and cultural hub of medieval Armenia, located 12 km from Dilijan, surrounded by dense forests and stunning landscapes. It is considered a unique example of architectural and natural harmony. The Haghartsin monument is situated on a plateau encircled by forested mountains, far from settlements, and is notable for its architectural significance and numerous inscriptions, which provide valuable insights into the socio-political history of medieval Armenia.
- Yell Extreme Park - Yell Extreme Park is situated in Yenoqavan village, Tavush region. As Armenia’s first extreme amusement park, it offers the opportunity to engage in extreme sports without needing professional skills. The first zip-line flight occurred in July 2015, and by July 2016, visitor numbers exceeded 5,000. During this time, activities were regularly expanded. In April 2016, the Rope Park was introduced, offering a variety of sports activities such as rope climbing exercises, obstacle courses, and zip-lines. No climbing techniques or special physical fitness experience is required. If you enjoy adrenaline, new experiences, and extreme sports, this is the place for you. Please note that the cost of activities is not included in the entry price; you need to select and pay for them on-site, either by card or cash.
