Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - House of Virgin Mary is the place where Mary may have spent her last days. Indeed, she may have come in the area together with Saint John. This place was offically declared a shrine of the Roman Catholic Church in 1986, and since then it has become a popular place of pilgrimage. Pope Paul VI visited shrine in 1967. The visit to the House (church) takes about 45 minutes and after our visit; there will be a 5 min drive to Ephesus.
Ancient City of Ephesus - Ephesus is an exceptional testimony to the cultural traditions of the Hellenistic, Roman Imperial and early Christian periods. Ephesus is an important site for Christianity; being one of the seven Churches of Revelation. Apostle Paul probably spent two and half years in Ephesus during his third missionary journey. In two hours, you will be exploring the city by walking on the marble streets, accompanied by our English speaking tour guide.
o In our tour, we will be seeing Odeon, State Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple and Latriens. The visits to The Private House (So-called brothel,
Terrace Houses) is an optional visit for an extra 25
/person and your guide should be informed before hand. After Terrace Houses, we will carry on with our exploration with Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather, and Arcadine (Harbour Road).
The Temple of Artemis - We will carry on with the visit to the Temple of Artemis; which is one of the Seven Wonders of antiquity. Here, there will be good chance to shoot photos of Church of St.John and Mosque of

sa Bey from the best angle as well.

Sirince - o Sirince is an old village of

(Byzantine Greeks) situated on the hills of Selcuk and 7 km from Ephesus. As part of the peace treaty after Turkish National War (1919-1922), a formal exchange of Turkish and Greeks, was agreed upon and Sirince is inhabited by Turkish now. The village is popular for beautiful traditional houses and fruit flavoured wine production; and you will have a free time for some wine tasting.

Izmir - Our Daily Tour will be finalised around 4:30 pm and you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Istanbul.
Istanbul - Our driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you back to your hotel in the evening.

Ephesus is a must do! - We decided to do this day trip from Istanbul to Ephesus to experience a bit more of Turkey during our short trip from Australia. The day was amazing, filled with history and culture. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day with our amazing host Gul as she made it interesting, fun and relaxed. Gul was informative and helpful and absolutely made the day for us! It is an early start from Istanbul which was fine for us, the short plane trip was comfortable and the ground transport at both sides was efficient! If you’re interested in the history of Turkey and want to explerience some local culture then this trip is for you. Starting at the Virgin Mary House was a tranquil setting, then a short trip to the ancient city of Ephesus where you get to explore the ruins which have been discovered thus far! Then off to a lovely lunch at a local co-op (which was delicious) and you can see the tradition of hand making rugs in action, followed by a trip to the old village of Sirince. A truly enjoyable day and so glad we did it.

Great one day tour from Istanbul - This is a really nice tour to get you out of the city to see more of the country. The region around the Ephesus archeological site is primarily agricultural and culturally different from Istanbul. The tour arranges the transfers and flights seamlessly. Efe and the driver picked us up from local airport. Efe is very friendly and informative about not only the official sites but about the local area. We traveled in late February which was a bit cold but allowed us to see the sites without lines, crowding or wait times. The city of Ephesus was the highlight for me with an impressive amount of excavation from a large ancient city. You really could understand what the city was like ages ago. Efe has extensive knowledge of every detail of the site including the cultural history and other ancient sites. Unfortunately the Temple of Artemis is not much to see but it is still exciting to have stood where one of the ancient wonders of the world once stood. We finished the tour early without the crowds so were able to visit a local Turkish rug manufacturer and jeweler which was also a highlight.

Amazing tour! - When you come to Turkey, you must take the trip to Ephesus. It is a most beautiful place, one of the wonders of the ancient world... the history, the farmlands surrounding it, the mountains, the quaint town of Şirince nestled in the mountains with its cobblestone narrow roads and beautiful local craftsman people, fresh ocean air. I am so happy I did this! I went with my son who had just had a hair transplant and he was not feeling well, (plus the jetlag from flying from the USA two nights before) and was not a happy camper, but Nizamettin, our guide, was so friendly and kept engaging my son that by the end of the day he was feeling better. He was Excellent, he was knowledgeable, friendly and very patient with our constant stops at the shops. He was privileged to have been born and raised in that gorgeous part of Turkey so he really knows everything about the area and it's people. The pickups at the hotel and airport were punctual and seamless. It is an all day affair, please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and "just do it". It is worth it! 🇹🇷 💚✈️

Nice and memorable experience ! - Nicely organized tour ( though check your flight ticket, PNR and also do on-line check-in ) and the tour guide Nizam ( aspiring BestTourist Guide of the year !) was very humorous and insightful with his knowledge ! He explained lot of details during the tour walk. Nicely co-ordinated at Istanbul and Izmir ( though you need to check everything because there is none to guide you at Istanbul airport, so print your flight tickets, online check etc DIY ). Lunch was good. Sirince village walk was unique !! For Dog lover, pls carry some biscuits and breads to feed, there are plenty of regulated dogs that are lovely !! Silk carpets in the showroom are pricey, especially for those from India, will find it almost 40-50% higher price !!

Fantastic trip - Had a great time on the tour. Everything went smoothly. Our driver was punctual and courteous. Our tour guide, Mel (Melike), was terrific. She is witty, friendly, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the tour. It’s so refreshing when your tour guide did her “homework”, if you will, and is prepare to make the best experience possible for her group. Highly recommend this tour if she’s your tour guide.

Amazing history and culture lesson. - Our tour guide, Mel, was outstanding. She is extremely knowledgeable and took lots of time to answer everyone’s questions. The last stop in the little town (Sinicre?) could be eliminated since it didn’t add anything of value to the history of Ephesus.

Beyond disappointing - This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime for me...it just never happened. I wrote to them two days before the tour to confirm pickup time and location and heard nothing back. The morning before the tour I wrote them again for confirmation and heard nothing. I had just gotten into bed at 9 pm (as I was going to be picked up at 430 am for the trip) and got a cancellation via viator email that it was canceled due to weather. About 45 mins later they finally wrote me back in the app and just said "this trip has been canceled". I do not believe it had anything to do with weather as the day of the trip was the most beautiful and clear day in Turkey all week. Their lack of responsiveness leading up to the event also makes me feel they perhaps didn't have enough people to make the trip worth it for them. Needless to say, they left me scrambling to find something else to do for my last day and very disheartened as this was supposed to be the most important part of my trip. Insult to injury, they never canceled the trip via viator and I had to connect with viator support to get a refund. Regardless of the reason for their cancellation, it was handled with 0 customer support or service. If you do book this, be wary and make sure you have a backup plan.
