Amazing - Such a wonderful excursion offering amazing views of the countryside. The suspnsion bridge was completely safe ... even for those of us with a fear of heights. This tour offered the suspension bridge first which then left taking the walkway down the mountain and along the river. Beautiful scenery offering the relaxing scent of eucalyptus trees blowing in the wind. We had a small group of six and our guide, Nuno, allowed us plenty of time to enjoy. The lunch offered at quaint local restaurant was delicious. Farm raised grass fed roasted veal with potatoes and steak with fries. So tasty and tender. And the vinho verde was the perfect after hike beverage. No risk no reward This was truly an amazing experience.

An amazing detour into nature - An amazing day out! We've done this tour previously with Detours and as friends were with us, wanted to repeat the experience. Ana, our guide, was fantastic - very personable, knowledgeable and funny! We felt she really helped make the experience. The walk itself was fantastic - to be completely immersed in nature was just amazing and the suspension bridge was fun and a great addition to this tour. The meal at the end was fantastic - we sampled the local cuisine (veal, then steak), then a delicious pudding, amazing vinho verde wine..just fabulous. We will definitely repeat the experience and would strongly recommend Ana and Detours.

Great way to see the beauty of Portugal. - Something different and cool to experience out of Porto. The communication with Detours was very clear. The pick up was accurate and on time. Diogo was knowledge about the area we were going. He was also a safe driver. He explained how the trip would go. The walk is not extremely strenuous. It is through a beautiful area close to Porto. The suspension bridge was awesome to cross (there and back). We also went for a local lunch with good food and wine. This tour also provides a good vibe as part of our money paid for this trip goes back into the local community with a thank you gift at the end. What a great way to spend a day discovering a beautiful piece of Portugal.

Unforgettable day tour with stunning views and great company - I recently joined the Arouca Suspension Bridge and Paiva Walkway Day Tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our small group of just six people made for an intimate and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing us to not only appreciate the stunning scenery but also enjoy each other's company throughout the day. Marco, our tour guide and driver, was exceptionally friendly and professional. The weather was perfect—sunny and warm—which made the day even better. Marco provided clear directions during the Paiva Walkway, ensuring we didn't get lost. After crossing the breathtaking Arouca Suspension Bridge, he shared fascinating information about the local flora, fauna, and geological features of the area. His knowledge added depth to our understanding of the nature reserve, the surrounding gorge, and the rock formations that form part of the wonderful Paiva river. The highlight of the tour was a sumptuous lunch at Caetano Restaurant after our 8 km walk. It was the perfect way to refuel and reflect on our amazing day with our newfound friends.

Beautiful & Adventurous - This trip was worth the money! Our guide teresa picked us up from the hotel on time and we went directly to the Arouca 516. The experience was thrilling. The view was amazing, guys trust me. One has to visit this place. There was also local guides who were explaining us about the history of the place & the bridge. After crossing the bridge, we began our 8km hike. The hike was moderately easy since it was all downhill. The view along the sidewalk was breathtaking. River, fresh air, surrounded by eucalyptus trees was just cherry on the top! We even made a pit stop at a small beach to take have a quick swim. The water was crystal clear. This stop rejuvenated our energy after half of our hike. It was much more relaxing to continue the hike. Our guide teresa was super fun, energetic and she explained all the way the history of the place. After our hike we had very big lunch. Trust me guys just have a light breakfast you will need good appetite to finish all the food. It was almost 4 course meal 😅 Overall experience was exhilarating, fresh, adventurous! Tip: Hopefully your guide is Teresa :) , wear comfortable shoes & clothes, Be hydrated. Eat light breakfast!!

A full days trip - This is an experience, the bridge and walkway is well worth a visit. Excellent scenery, we were a group of 7 and João was our guide, he looked after us and made sure we were managing the walk after the bridge. He was very informative a well - top guide. The walk after the bridge is mainly on a wooden walkway but takes a couple of hours. You are then taken to a lovely restaurant where you eat a lovely meal together
