“Amazing views!!! - Wow! Despite reading the description, this trip exceeded my expectations. The driver was very helpful and we travelled in a nice air-conditioned vehicle. The camel ride was amazing! The argon oil demo was so insightful and the walk around the mountain village of Imlil was breathtaking. Our tour guide was the nicest and made sure we were all okay when we walked on the mountain. The lunch at the end was incredible. This trip is amazing value for money. I will never forget this trip and recommend it to anyone considering it!” - Reviewed on 2024-08-15
Embracing the Scenic Beauty
The following day, November 17th, promises another day of exploration with partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures. This is the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into the natural beauty of the region with the Berber Village Experience. Starting at 8:30 AM, this day trip offers a comprehensive look at the Berber lifestyle, guided by a local expert who will share insights into the history and culture of these resilient people.
As you journey through the Atlas Mountains, you’ll pass through the town of Tahnaout, where you can visit an Argan Oil Co-operative and witness the traditional methods used to produce this precious oil. Continuing on to Asni, you’ll have the chance to explore a traditional Berber Souk, where the vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere provide a feast for the senses. The highlight of the day is a trek to the village of Ait Souka, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a local Berber home, offering a taste of authentic hospitality.
“EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE - We recommend this beautiful day excursion with camel ride in the nearby Agafay desert, visit to an Argan cooperative with snack, stop at the suggestive and charismatic Berber market, break to refill water and fruit, visit to the village above Imlil at 1,800 m above sea level altitude without even realizing it and waterfalls at 2000 m. all included including lunch, chicken tajine and delicious and abundant couscous; honestly it deserved a few euros more, we were surprised, considering that there is also travel by bus, which is no small thing. I forgot, obviously with recovery and return to the indicated point. Ibrahim the guide is a knowledgeable and very kind boy, he answered all our curiosities, adding stories about the experience and history of his country, very interesting and exciting.” - Reviewed on 2024-01-30
