70th Birthday present from my family - This was a 70th birthday surprise from my wife, daughter and son. I have just returned from the city of Caen in France where we toured Sword Beach. This was one of the beaches used by the British army on DDay.The reason for interest about this landing site was because my father landed here on the 6th June 1944.We booked a tour guide just for our family. Eric Le Doux-Turnbull was the tour guide he can be found on www.ddaylandingstour.com He picked us up at 10.00 am at our rented apartment where we made our way to our first stop. This was Pegasus Bridge where he gave us an insight into how the British took control of the bridge and held the bridge to allow the main force to be able to cross the Caen canal. There is a museum here which is well worth a visit. Cost 7euro per person. Next stop was Ranville cemetery after leaving here we stopped for a bite to eat. We then moved on to Sword Beach. There is another museum here which is housed in the German command tower. Eric was full of information and passionate about the tour. The whole tour was seven and half hours long. The whole family agreed that Eric gave us a great insight into what happed that day 1944.

A brilliant authentic experience for the family. - Amazing experience with my sons and husband. Far from gimmicky this is the real deal. These guys know the routes and all the historical facts and will transport you to places the more touristic operations won't take you. Like the vantage point above Omaha beach. Their historical knowledge is second to none, their sense of fun puts the kids into a great frame of mind and the retro experience a brilliant way to do this. Could not recommend it enough

Great memories for family of 4 with two mid-teenage sons. - We had Remi and Philip take our family of 4 on the half-day tour. This was well worth it. We did it in October, with fresh and drizzly weather, but we were never cold or soaked. They provided great wind and rain proof jackets and bottoms and the rides were super fun. Our teenage sons absolutely loved it and the history was surely retold by both Remi and Philip. Highly recommend you take this tour for an unforgettable moment with your family. Both our guides were friendly, funny and above all very knowledgeable. Go do it!

The Normandy invasion - Riding through the Normandy region visiting historical sites was an educational experience we will not soon forget. Being on a motorcycle with Remi at the controls made the experience exhilarating and so much fun. He was very knowledgeable and dynamic. My wife and I had a blast. Seeing this region on a motorcycle is definitely the best way to experience this tour. To Remi “manifique”!!!!!
