Great day cycling….. - Collected our bikes from Arrowtown and cycled the Gibbston river track for 20km to Gibbston winery. Stunning views, narrow bridges, an alpaca farm to pass - it’s all gorgeous. Had cheese and wine at the winery and were then collected from there (with our bikes) and returned to Arrowtown. It was a perfect day and so well organised by Arrowtown bikes.

Easy to recommend - Easy to recommend - friendly, efficient service from 2 men who knew their stuff& had us out riding likity split even tho we hadn’t booked ahead. Quick, no hassle response with a replacement bike when the chain came off derailleur out on trail. We chose the trail Arrowtown to Kinross which we enjoyed for the scenery, interest (watching bungie nutters) and easy riding Kinross is perfect for pizza & a cold drink 🍺 🍷

Great company and bikes. - Fantastic company. Bikes were in great condition. Got a full description of the equipment. Friendly staff. This was our second time and definitely go for these guys. Take the ride following the river. The e-bikes make it a breeze. We stopped at gibbstown winery (sorry for typos) the wine tasting was beyond cheap and the food was ok for the price. Be warned if you have young kids some elements of the ride are very steep with big drops and no fences. You’ll get a sign warning you but for nervous parents or new kid riders you’ll want to be super careful. One of the suspension bridges is pretty intense. It’s held by six cables and has a capacity for 20 people maximin. It will wobble and when windy can be a bit scary. You’ll pass the bungee jumping place which is fun to witness.

A Fabulous day out - My friends and I hired bikes for a full day to ride the trail to visit wineries. It was a perfect experience. The bikes were ready and waiting and in excellent condition. We hadn’t ridden electric bikes before so we were given thorough instructions. I could fault anything with the whole experience.

Beautiful cycle to the Kawarau Gorge, excellent service from this provider - Great organisation, friendly and helpful staff. The bikes were perfect and the cycle track down to the bungee jumping was beautiful, virtually all off road, gravel track, undulating but no difficult hills!! A fantastic afternoon, thoroughly recommend as a way to see both Arrowtown and the gorge without just driving.

Great service and full refund in the event of bad weather - The unpredictable NZ weather got us - just after we'd finished a late breakfast the rain came in. After waiting an hour or so hopeful that it would clear we had to make the call to cancel our bike ride for the day. Disappointing as we'd been looking forward to it since we booked online weeks ago when back in Oz. No problem though - Adin promptly honoured their policy for full a refund in the case of bad weather. Have received the confirmation email already. Great service - shame we couldn't enjoy the bike ride. Just have to come back another time!!

Mixed Arrowtown e-bike experience... - As a former big trip advisor reviewer, with an extensive following, I have returned to TripAdvisor because riders need to know this.. The pros and cons of this Arrowtown e-bike trip.. We hired 4 adult bikes at a total cost of $620, we picked our bikes up just before 11am, which on reflection was a bit late.. Go earlier! The Pros- great e-bikes in good condition Good track through wineries . Amazing scenery on route .. Cons .. before setting off...I asked simple questions such as, 'how long will we need,' we were given vague responses by a female assistant- ' don't know, hard to say, I don't like those types of questions...when I asked, 'will we have time to ride back? Or will we need to access the shuttle,' We were told same, 'don't know hard to say'.. We set off and got lost within first 5 mins! Despite a simple map, instructions were vague we were told, 'follow that tree line,' (wave of assistants hand) however being 4 e-bike riders, we were soon back on track and we loved our ride. More cons... Before setting off, we were told you can leave your bikes anywhere along the track just let us know and we can pick the bikes up, if you need a picking up the shuttle will be $30 per person. I rang the owner Adrian about 3pm and said we don't need the shuttle we just need the bikes collecting from the church winery, he said no problem, we will be in that area at 4:15pm. I helped Brittany the assistant load one of the bikes.. We carried on at the winery, then my daughter told me she was been charged $120 for 4 shuttle rides which we had not accessed, this had had taken from her bank account without her authority, she also received an email telling her she had been charged. Confused, I rang the owner Adrian and he explained there was a charge for bike collection irrespective of catching the shuttle, there was a clear confusion here, we felt totally ripped off, my daughter has since received a $50 refund, still out of pocket, we would never use this provider again. Shame great bikes! Some of the helmets need an update though!
