Every year, large groups of wildebeests and zebras call its plains their migration route. The semi-nomadic Maisa tribe’s livestock co-inhabitate with the wildlife. Several hominin fossils, which date back to prehistoric times, have been discovered in the Olduvai Gorge.
Tarangire National Park, renowned for being an outstanding destination for bird watching, also hosts a wide variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season.
