After breakfast, the tour sets off. The first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before heading out on safari. We then proceed to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, enjoying a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population and baobab trees. It is the focal point of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Tarangire - Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 hrs
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see. We then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a wide variety of wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Serengeti - Ngorongoro
Serengeti National Park - Distance: 145km
Non – game viewing time : 2 – 4 hrs
Early morning game drive followed by departure to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will stop at Olduvai Gorge, which boasts a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both significant links in the chain of human evolution. Late afternoon transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Ngorongoro - Arusha
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Late afternoon transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay or airport drop-off. (Accommodation can be included upon request at extra cost)
