Additional Information

Embark on a safari that takes you to the Tarangire National Park for a full day, spends nearly two days in the Serengeti, and dedicates a day for an excursion in the Ngorongoro Crater. This safari allows you to visit prime locations in Tanzania, including the Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the Garden of Eden, and the Serengeti National Park.
Experience an evening adventure in the heart of the Serengeti where you can watch the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in the Seronera campsite situated within the Serengeti.
The key draw of the Serengeti is its never-ending plains and renowned Serengeti wildebeest migration, which includes around 1.5 million herbivores and their followers. Predators tend to move from one part of Serengeti to another in response to drought.
Nestled in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater proudly stands. Enjoy both sunrise and sunset inside Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.

A world-class Serengeti experience second to none - This was my first time taking a safari and the first time in many years joining a small organized group trip like this and I must say: Meru Slopes sets the gold standard. From the airport pickup to the early morning drop off at the bus station from the hotel at the end of the journey, rarely have I seen better service or quality than with Meru Slopes. The campsites they chose were excellent, the food cooked by Buga amazing, the itinerary executed by the excellent, knowledgable, and charismatic Stanley, and the interface, organization, and arrangement of everything from afar (and near) by Jerome were the definition of professionalism and good taste. Whoever wants to see and experience Tanzania at its very best should travel with Meru Slopes.

Best Safari Ever - We had a four days Safari in Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengeti Park. It was the best Trip in our entire life. The communication with Geoffrey was very easy. Geoffrey and his team were very well organized. They were always on time. Each of the stuff is doing his best to let customers feel comfortable and satisfied. Our Guide and Driver Robert planned all the specific details that you don’t miss anything during the trip like sunrise and especially the big five. Robert is really great connected, he has a great experience of Safaris. He has good eye to catch the animals. He does know all of them and also the names of the animals. He explained how the animals live and also showed us a lot of informations from a book where we were able to read and get a lot of information. Robert always did a lot of effort to give us a possibility to see and have the best view to the animals. He is a fantastic guide, we will for sure come and repeat the safari tour with Robert and Meru Slope again. I wish Geoffrey, Robert and the Meru Slopes Team a successful future, because they deserve it. Will come back. Soon! Thank your for everything 🩵

Amazing !!! - After comparing several quotes, we went with Meru Slopes which was the best value for money! Frankly, we are delighted with our choice, it is a serious company with very good guides! Big favorite for our driver Robert who is English speaking but has enormous knowledge about animals and who goes out of his way to find them which is not easy! We saw the 5 big fives, 1 cheetah, tons of zebras, wildebeest, elephants and so on! This is without a doubt the trip of a lifetime! Regarding the meals, it was delicious from breakfast to dinner! We had 2 hot meals at lunchtime and in the evening! I recommend 1000 percent

Great safari trip - We were really lucky with spotting the animals. It was soo incredible to see lion and cheetah cubs! The food our chef Gideon made was really good and that he took care about my friend and me as vegetarians was so nice. Our driver was Lobulu and he brought us save through the whole trip. We booked the safari with Jerome who answerd all our questions quickly. Overall we had an amazing safari with nice people in our group and lots of animals that we spotted.

Best first time safari experience - We want to extend our biggest thank you to jacob and buga who made our safari memorable. The entire team at Meru Slopes were so helpful and so accommodating, if you’re still hesitating between different tours, we wholeheartedly reccomend them with no hestitation. We had dozens of quotes from different companies and Meru Slopes were the most accommodating in term of budget and itinerary. We took a 4 days-3 nights package with them in mid-May. We wanted to see Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Our itinerary was very well planned, nothing to stress about on our side. They came to pick us up from the airport the day before and offered accomodation for the night. We paid a 15% deposit before to confirm and we finalized everything when we got to the hotel. They helped us get free card sims (which was such a nice thing to do) and helped with the whole set up as well. While other tours offered boxed lunches and sometimes dinners, Meru Slopes went above and beyond and provided us with hot (and amazing!) meals throughout the day. Bouga (our cook) is unmatched and his food was so tasty, we often wanted seconds. If you book with them, definitely ask for Bouga as a cook. Our driver and guide Jacob was amazing as well. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, he is very knowledgeable in all the animals in the park and he will answer any questions we have. There was a water bottle in our seats every morning and electricity in the car (even though sometimes it didn’t work as well). They also offered wifi but that wasn’t working as much either so don’t expect a strong connection. We slept two nights in lodges and one in tents when we were supposed to do one in a lodge and two in a tent, so that was very nice surprise. As a disclaimer, whether you book with this company or another, please be mindful of the Masai village tour. Not in a way to discredit the villages and the people, but more as a critique of the practice (that is widely done by many other companies). Before booking our tour, we made sure to ask that we do not do it, as we believe that people should not have to sell out their cultural practices in order to make a living. We wanted to support in other ways, but it was surprisingly part of our program even if we didn’t ask for it. We love learning about different cultures but in a way that is ethical and that truly supports the lifestyle of those people without them having to monetize on it. So unless you insist on doing it, we would recommend against it, and instead, look for programs that directly help the villages and their people (whether that’s with money, buying their creations as souvenirs, or supporting the preservation of their traditions and culture in Tanzania). One of the things we wish we did was get more knowledge of the Masaai tribe and other tribes in Tanzania prior to our trip, to make sure we knew how to best support them while we were there. So we definitely recommend getting informed beforehand. Overall, if you were like us and were hesitating between the million tour companies and wasn’t sure about this one, book this one! no regrets!

Amazing experience - don't think twice to book - My experience with Meru Slopes was incredible from beginning to end. Important to add that I am a solo female traveler. Starting with booking - Kelvin was incredibly responsive and also understanding as I changed my dates. I booked my tour last minute. He was accommodating to my needs and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable & happy. He alone would get 10 stars. To the safari. My guide, Salehe, did a fantastic job. He was very dedicated to ensure we saw all the animals. Once he wanted to find an animal - he was on a strong mission to ensure we could see it. He worked hard so that we had the best possible time. We stayed out past sunset trying to find a cheetah and we woke at sunrise most days. Sunrises on Safari were spectacular - we were always one of the first jeeps on the road and I wouldn't change a thing. We saw lions, zebras, hippos, hyenas, rhinos etc etc etc etc The food was amazing too. Our chef was Rashid. He made the best food I've had in my month in Tanzania. My favorite were the dinners - a wide variety of foods -- too much food for us to finish. We had daily soup starters and freshly made bread, curries, pizza, chapati, rice, desserts, etc etc etc. I am also vegetarian, he was accommodating making veggie versions of everything. I always felt satisfied. Also, something that stood out were the details. While other groups had cardboard boxed lunches. Meru slopes showed up with a table cloth, proper plates, utensils, glass cups, coffee mugs etc. it was more than a picnic it was a fancy meal in the middle of nature. Everything was reusable - environmentally friendly 🤍. We never had a sandwiches on the road - which could have been so easy for them. Instead we had yummy curries, chapati, rice, coffee, tea, fruit. The accommodations provided before and after were very cozy, clean and comfortable. I've stayed in several hotels in Arusha and I would absolutely visit Arusha Tourist Inn again. The drivers picking you up and dropping you off from airport were also professionals - respectful , good drivers, clean cars. Btw...the jeep has WiFi and several outlets - I mean 🤯 again ... above and beyond in everything. I found meru slopes through a friend. I am happy I did. As this was an amazing experience. Don't think twice. By far the best price, people, and company.
