Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire

Tarangire National Park - Pick up at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Tarangire to Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel amid the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Starting your full-day game drive by 8 AM after a filling breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti - known as the Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off-season of the migration, one must look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion prides provide an excellent game-viewing experience all year round. Along with a picnic lunch during the full-day game drive, the day will come to a close by around 5 PM. The long day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and has fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Crater tour (5-6 hours) to Arusha/Moshi

Ngorongoro Crater - On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq km with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs, and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4-hour drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha by 6:00 PM. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

Serengeti migration safari 9 days family safari - African Trek & Travel organized an amazing experience for our family. Our 20 days in Tanzania included a 9 days safari with a varied programme to Serengeti migration, Tarangire Ngorongoro lake Manyara and mkomazi national park that had sufficient time to relax, to explore and to go on adventures with the best guide Joseph! Our very active boys (age 9, 11 and 12) were totally into the wildlife seeking and handled the long trips very well, thanks to the good care of our African Trek guide and the variety of lodges and experiences. We ended our trip at Zanzibar which is the perfect place to process all the experiences from the safari. From the moment we set foot at Kili airport until our departure from Zanzibar we were in the capable hands of African Trek and Travel. We feel very fortunate and thankful for this experience.

Best luxury safari experience - This has been one of the most memorable experiences. Sebastian patiently communicated their budget, midrange and luxurious programs prior to my arrival. I went for the luxurious option, which made the experience five out of five stars. Our guide Donald was experienced and calm. He was really good at spotting animals. Thanks to him, we saw baby lions on a tree, two cheetahs, many lions and a leopard! I was so lucky to choose the luxurious lodges. Serengeti luxurious place, the tented lodge I stayed in Serengeti, was like a dream. At night I heard lions roaring outside my tent! The only regret is that I didn’t stay there for an additional night! Marera hotel near Tarangire was also beyond my expectations. The room was very nice and spacious. I enjoyed the garden and pool. Thank you African Trek & Travel for the wonderful holiday! I will definitely book with you again

5 days mid range safari to Tanzania - We had an amazing experience with African Trek and Travel We did a 5-day mid-range safari including Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Everyday was perfectly organized and our tourguide jose explained everything very well and took good care for us. All meals were delicious and the hotels were impressive (especially the kisura Lodge overwhelmed us). We would do the safari with Sebastian again at any time and can recommend the company to anyone looking for a unique experience in Tanzania!

Life time adventure on Tanzania Safari with African Trek & Travel - Getting Safari with African Trek & Travel is absolutely super positive experience. Everything was perfectly organized and we were able to see most beautiful places for Safari in the world including Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. Every one of them has something unique to offer but Serengeti and Ngornogro are top of the top in my traveler experience list. The food was delicious and always on time, our driver was super supportive skilled and very knowledge about wildlife in Africa - we have learned a lot from him and we were able to picture every of Top 8 African safari animals. I strongly recommend African Trek & Travel if you consider getting Safari in Tanzania.

Amazing experience on safari with African Trek & Travel - I was on safari with African Trek & Travel in late January 2024. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks and it was a great experience. The service was excellent, the food was more than enough and tents for accommodation were very comfortable and had a lot of space inside. We saw a lot of animals including The Big Five and we were so lucky so see many animals from the very short distance. It was amazing experience and I would like to thank all team from African Trek & Travel for a great adventure which they organised for us. I highly recommend this travel agency if someone would like to organise the safari in Tanzania.
