Highlights

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your safari to the Tarangire National Park. Bush savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve and the park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants. Not only they are found in thousands but also they seem to be more accustomed to the vehicles, and for this you can be closer to these gigantic animals.

It is not only the elephants rather a varied numbers of animals such as to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 500 types of birds make this the one stop solution for both the bird and the animal lovers. After the game drive you will leave the park in the late afternoon and drive to the lodge for your overnight stay.
Accommodation: Maramboi Tented Camp

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

After your tour around the park, you will be transferred to your lodge where you will be spending the night.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Following breakfast, you will spend the whole day on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park and have lunch at a picnic spot en-route. Depending upon the time of year, you might even have the chance to witness the great migration with hundred thousands of wildebeests, zebras and Thompson gazelles. During the small rainy season in October and November, you will typically see these herds moving from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the great rainy season in April, May and June, the herds slowly travel back through the western and northwestern part of the Serengeti.

With fluctuations in rainfall, this timetable can of course change, resulting in the animals migrating during different times and routes. Your guide will try his outmost to find the animals and will make sure that you can see them from the best spot in the national park.

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife and so you will be up early to join an early morning game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. Here in the Seronera region you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity of lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro conservation for overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Arusha - After an early breakfast you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath-taking and with a little luck you can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.

After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.

The Safari of a lifetime - We had the best Safari-Experience anyone could ever have. We not only got to see the big 5, but also a pack of lions feeding on a buffalo. Our guide was the best, knew the answer to each and every one of our questions and took care of us in the most amazing way. Our chef took care of the fact that each one of us probably gained a couple of pounds - from amazing breakfast pancakes to delicious lunch boxes there was nothing left to ask for. Over all, we had a great time and would gladly do the next Safari with here 👍

Fantastic safari experience - My Family had a great safari with Real Life Adventure Travel we did a 5 days Northern Tanzania trip with 4 days spent in Serengeti National Park and the last day in Ngorongoro Crater with Stewart as our excellent guide. He showed us numerous animals during game drives in different areas of expansive Serengeti and crater visit in Ngorongoro and was knowledgeable telling us a lot about the animals we saw. The visit to Hadzabe Bushmen was fun too, spending time with tribesmen seeing them mimic hunting and the vibrant dances. Lodgings for safari were great; comfortable rooms/tents and wonderful staff. Food was also very good. RLAT did a splendid job of planning and hosing our trip. Highly recommend travellers to talk with Real Life Adventure Travel for all Tanzania safaris.

Thank you so so much for such an incredible trip - Our little group (7 people, family & friends) was guided by Freddie (founder of Real Life Adventure Travel) and his team during our entire trip, and we couldn't have been happier, everything was beyond expectations. We had planned to climb Mount Meru and go on a safari afterwards, and thanks to RLAT, we experienced both adventures in the best possible way ! The accommodations were perfectly sorted and very comfortable, the team remarquably navigated us through streams of tourists to avoid croud effects and allow us to fully enjoy each site, and we ate like kings and queens the entire time. On Mt Meru: The climb definitely felt intense but our guides gave us the best pieces of advice to manage, while making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Even though most of the group had little to no experience (only two people were advanced hikers/climbers), EVERYBODY reached the top of Mount Meru. I don't recall many other groups also doing the climb that could state the same : we kept seeing people (some with way more experience) turning back down when we never even had to consider it. Even at the hardest point towards the end, the guides handled the situation in an exemplar way and managed to bring us to the top right at sunrise. We were truly amazed by the quality of their organisation and their profound knowledge of the mountain and all its elements. On the safari : We visited three of the main parks of Tanzania : N'Gorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Arusha National Park. RLAT had booked us an amazing driver/guide for the whole trip and selected incredible accommodations for us to stay. We drove through the parks listening to the infinite stories and anecdotes of our driver, learning and seeing so much more than we imagined ! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
