Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Begin the safari adventure with a morning drive to Tarangire National Park, a vast area comparable to a small country. The park’s landscape is adorned with savannah, baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, providing sustenance and shelter for hartebeests, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, various antelopes, and over 550 bird species. Renowned for its large elephant herds, the park is one of the premier locations in East Africa to observe these majestic creatures. The elephants are accustomed to the sound of safari vehicles, allowing for closer encounters. After an extensive game drive, proceed to a campsite just outside the park for an overnight stay.

Tarangire Area – Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Embark on a journey through lush highlands, where corn, coffee, and wheat thrive, to reach Serengeti National Park. Named by the indigenous Masai people, Serengeti means “endless plains,” a fitting description as the grassy savannah stretches endlessly before you. The landscape features kopjes, unique rock formations where predators often survey the area for prey. Home to the world’s largest animal migration, depending on the season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras traversing the Serengeti and Masai Mara Game Reserve in search of food. Arrive at the campsite in the Seronera Valley in the late afternoon for an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Dedicate the entire day to more game drives in Serengeti National Park. The park is a haven for abundant wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but is most famous for its massive migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ migration is influenced by rainfall and varies annually. From November to December, they move from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return north. Besides the migrating herds, there is a chance to spot predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions lurking nearby. Spend the night at a campsite in the Seronera Area.

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, embark on another game drive in the Serengeti. There is a possibility of spotting the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves, offering an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Upon reaching the crater’s edge, catch a glimpse of the wonders awaiting the next day – sparkling streams, open grasslands, and countless animals. Spend the night at a campsite on the crater’s edge, surrounded by the orange glow of sunset as you drift off to sleep.

Ngorongoro Crater – Mto wa Mbu
Ngorongoro Crater - Early risers are rewarded with stunning views of the sunrise over the crater’s edge. After a hearty breakfast, descend the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage site, formed millions of years ago, is 610 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. With a dense animal population of around 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing in all of Tanzania. In minutes, observe wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. With luck, spot the endangered black rhino horns peeking through the grass. After lunch, ascend the crater’s steep walls and head to the multicultural village of Mto wa Mbu, near Lake Manyara National Park, for an overnight stay at a campsite. The day concludes with a delicious dinner and a refreshing dip in the pool.

Lake Manyara National Park - The final stop on the tour is the small Lake Manyara National Park, named after the shallow alkaline lake covering about 200 km² of the park. Known for its diverse landscapes, the park features not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. In addition to the spectacular and diverse birdlife of over 400 species, the park is home to hippos, elephants, baboons, wildebeest, and the unique tree-climbing lions.
