Additional Information

-THE GRAND WILDEBEEST MIGRATION IN SERENGETI
Each year, in a cyclical fashion, the massive wildebeest migration initiates in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the southern region of Tanzania’s Serengeti. The migration then proceeds in a clockwise pattern through the Serengeti National Park, extending northwards to the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. Our skilled driver will trace the migration path to ensure an unforgettable viewing experience.
-NGORONGORO CRATER
The Ngorongoro Crater, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, is a popular African destination and the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world that is unbroken and unfilled. Animals in the Ngorongoro were trapped after descending into the crater and their inability to escape lead to a surge in population within the crater. Now, all the African big 5 - Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, Buffalos and Leopards - can be found in the Ngorongoro crater.

Great experience for a good safari price - It was our first safari trip and we really enjoyed it! The alignment with Geoffrey went smooth, he is really quick in responding. During our tour we have seen the big 5! The wildbeest migration was really amazing to see! During our tour the campsites were good, we slept inside the national parks. The car was good to sit in for a long time. We had the best cook we could wish, Gidion, thanks for the great meals and the variation in food. Hé even prepared a birthday cake for someone of the group. Our driver Kennedy has lots of driving experience and was in contact with other tourguides to show us the big 5. We would defenitely recommend meruslopes to others!

Magic Safari Beyond Our Expectations - With an Extra Value Award, guides and quality cooking, go on a Méru slopes safari and you really won’t be disappointed: - from the moment of contact, the exchanges are very easy and fast, often via WhatsApp. Requests are considered and respected: we paid the same Award for the safari, be picked up upon arrival at the airport, Pension before/after with all meals. We are French with 9-year-old children. We asked for a Francophone Guide. Samuel was wonderful in both his professionalism and his kindness to the children. He was able to listen and adapt to our requests. Ask him if you book! - Even with a camping package and a description specifying picnic meals at lunch, thanks to Rachid, our taste buds were feasted at all meals with choice, taste, and he also knew how to propose food for children. Picnics were real meals with tablecloth, plates and meals in pots. You can ask Rachid for your safari with your eyes closed. - the first 2 nights were comfortable because despite the camping package, we slept in a very decent lodge. In total, a crazy holiday with quality thanks to Samuel our French driver and Rachid our chef 3*. The parks are splendid, the ngorongoro magic and all the animals were at the rendezvous.( Especially thanks to Samuel who knew how to find them all!! )

Most amazing tour - My wife and me just came back from a private 6-day budget camping safari and it was absolutely amazing! In order to book the tour I talked to Kelvin, who responded quickly to all my questions and then organized the tour perfectly. The complete payment for the tour could be done via card with a payment link we have received before the tour, so no need to carry so much cash around before the start of the tour which was really helpful. We didn't even need to pass by the office. Pickup and dropoff at the airport worked like a charm as well. In the morning of the first day we were picked up by our guide Samwel, who made sure that we had the absolute most amazing 6 safari days we could have imagined. His knowledge of the parks and the animal behavior is incredible and his driving skills were flawless. We would like to highlight the driving skills, which made us feel save not only inside of the parks but also during the many hours of transportation from park to park. Comparing our driving to the reckless driving / overtaking of many many other safarijeeps we felt really lucky to have Samwel as a driver. Samwel provided an excellent service and did wait whenever we wanted to stay some more time at one spot and looked for animals that we wanted to see. Whenever we didn't say anything, he just guided us and it turned out amazing. Our chef Buga cooked the most delicious meals during the safari, with basically a different kind of meal every lunch or dinner. The portions were more than enough so we were never hungry. Water, Coca cola and even beers and wine were provided by Meru Slopes. The accommodations and the three days of camping were just as expected on a camping budget safari. Tips for travellers: bring toilet paper, soap and towels. Also, for the night at ngorongoro crater you will need a cozy pijama because it gets really cold.

The best guide & chef you can get in Tanzania - Amazing experience from start to finish! We did this safari, my wife and I, and everything went great. Florien, our guide and driver, is the best you can find, with +10 years of experience he knows every single corner of the parks (Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire) and he was constantly looking around to see if he could spot the animals (such an incredible catcher!). Sometimes doing only the main roads is tricky because it can get crowded, so he always tried to look for alternatives, even if it meant to drive more time and far away, but when we spotted the animals we were there alone and without any rush from the other cars. Moshi, our chef, is an amazing cooker and such a lovely person. He cooked every meal we had and everything was super tasty and homemade. Every day we had different meals to taste and he always tried to explain what was the food, how to eat it and was served always hot (which is great specially when you just wake up and you taste that amazing hot breakfast. Definitely something to repeat and to recommend this team!

Amazing Safari with Meru Slopes - We are so happy we had our safari tour with the guys from Meru Slopes. Our guide Robert really does his best to bring you to the best places and spots where to see a lot of animals, thanks a lot for your effort. Buga (I hope I wrote his name correctly) spoiled us with his tasty and great meals during our trip, thank you for taking care of us. At the end of our trip we had also the chance to visit a village with the local guide Priska, she brings you to see plantation and local hand crafters. Additional, there were some un expected surprises that made our time even more enjoyable (but no spoilers overwise it's not a surprise anymore 😁). Go for a Safari with Meru Slopes, and you will see yourself!

Wonderful safari - The guys at Meru Slopes made our safari experience perfect. Extremely precise and professional. The driver was always available to answer any questions and made sure we enjoyed every sighting. The very good and helpful chef always prepared excellent lunches and dinners for us with great variety. I recommend booking with them because they are a medium-sized company that cares a lot about doing their job with care.

Very happy with our choice of Meru slopes for 7 days of Safari - The best tour operator in and around Arusha! We had a fantastic time with Meru Slopes on our 7 day Safari + Kilimanjaro/Materuni Excursion. Our guide and driver Andrew was exceptional, always in a good mood, very knowledgeable, also really patient and with his 24 years experience as a Safari Guide he spotted many of the very rare animals. Our chef Rashidi cooked huge and delicious local and international meals for us. He even got up at 3am to prepare breakfast and cook a proper hot lunch which we took to our game drives (every meal freshly cooked and friendly for tourist stomachs). For our Materuni Waterfalls and coffee tour at Kilimanjaro, as well as airport pickup and drop off we had Fidelis as tour guide/driver. He is such a nice person and very knowledgeable about the tour as he's from the Chaga tribe himself. This is a really interesting tour because you can get to know more of the culture, learn about the coffee and also you can buy organic coffee to support the community. All in all we highly recommend Meru Slopes for a Safari and tours in/around Arusha. They are doing a great job and gave us an experience of a lifetime that we're never going to forget. Also because of the kindness and the Hakuna matata lifestyle
