• Materuni Waterfalls - The walk to Materuni Waterfall offers a glimpse into the nature of Tanzania allowing you either to prepare your body for the forthcoming climb to Kilimanjaro or ease your muscles after the climb. This tour starts with a walk through the area adjacent to the waterfall, rich in beautiful natural scenery of Tanzania. It is an opportunity to see how local fruit like avocados, mangos, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, agricultural and cultural life. When you get to the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the natural pool, so swimsuits will come in handy. The tour will continue with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee plantations. The villagers will demonstrate the process of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup. Sing and dance along with the Chaga people as they are grinding, roasting and boiling the beans. When the coffee is ready, villagers will serve lunch - Chagga meal

We will be taking you from your Arusha hotel for a one-hour journey to the Chemka Hot Springs. Expect a twisty and bumpy ride but don’t miss out on the splendid views and the genuine Tanzanian life playing out along the route. Once we reach, you have complete autonomy over how you spend your time. Relax by the spring’s edge, taking in the cyan waters and vibrant greenery that covers the surrounding woods. Have a slow swim or contemplate as you listen to the lull of the waters and the chirping of birds overhead. If you’re feeling bold, try swinging on the rope too! Age is no bar when it comes to fun!

The pool has parts that reach up to 10 meters in depth, but the visibility of the water allows you to trace down to its base. Have your midday meal under the tree canopy or if you’re partial to sunbathing, find yourself a sunny nook. Take your time exploring the vicinity. You may also catch sight of local wildlife, who too find a haven in the Chemka Hot Springs.
