MOIR HUT (FULL BOARD)
Mount Kilimanjaro - In the morning, the journey crosses part of the plateau through lush heather and moorland, then into the expansive high Savannah desert before reaching Moir Hut in the alpine zone. For additional acclimatization, a walk around the higher lands near the camp is recommended; the views are superb. Lunch will be served at Fisher Camp.

SUMMIT TO MWEKA CAMP (FULL BOARD)
Mount Kilimanjaro - The day begins before midnight under the cover of darkness. A steep climb over loose volcanic scree with well-graded zig-zags and a slow but steady pace leads to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point, at 5,735m. A short rest is taken to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those feeling well can continue slowly for a two-hour round trip along the crater rim to the main peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. After a few moments to appreciate the achievement, the descent to Barafu is remarkably fast, with a stop at Barafu Camp for refreshments, continuing the descent to reach Mweka Camp.

BEST TIME OF YEAR TO SCALE KILIMANJARO
Usually, the months of March, April, and May bring the long rains and are best to be avoided. Though November often brings shorter rains, it doesn’t typically rain the entire duration, so climbing is feasible.
Optimal months for embarking on a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro are January, February, in addition to August and September. July may be cooler, whilst November to December are typically more wet.
The climatic conditions in January to February are usually the warmest, largely free of cloud cover during the evenings and mornings. Our guides exhibit remarkably high success rates, notably higher than the average success rates of all who endeavor to summit.
