Lake Manyara - A Lovely Place for a game drive - We were doing a trip to Tanzania and Kenya following the migration. We reached two days early in Arusha and on the 2nd day of our arrival we went to Lake Manyara National Park for some feeling of the game drives and birds of Africa and some wild animals. Our driver cum guide for the drive was Peter, who was a wonderful spotter and was quite knowledgeable. For the whole day he accompanied us and took extreme pains to show us the animals and birds for which we had come to visit. Because of unseasonal rains, Lake Manyara was full to the brim and the flamingoes were not to be seen. Blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, elephants, impala, warthog, zebra, hog deer and bush buck graced the occasion with Hamerkop, Red billed hornbill, silver streaked hornbill, ibis, oxpeckers, shrike, woodpeckers, yellow vented bulbul and many more. The trip was wonderful and Peter was such a great guide that made our journey with packed lunch memorable. The picnic spot views was really great and time spent was worth it. We forgot our shades in the car and next morning Peter came back to our hotel to return our shades a great gesture from him.

A unique experience in a lushly forested park, with a fantastic guide - I joined a Travel Africa tour for just one day, visiting Lake Manyara National Park. We had a fantastic guide -- not just highly knowledgeable, but also very funny and entertaining. I highly recomend visiting Lake Manyara because it is very different from Serengeti and Ngorongoro (it is lushly forested). And Travel Africa's excellent guide made it a great experience for me.

Well run tour, great guide--best way to see Lake Manyara - Doing a safari isn't what many people think. The animals aren't all hanging around, like in a zoo, beside the roadside, waiting for people to come and see them. That being said, choosing a good safari, IMHO, is about choosing a good area to go during that time of year for what you want to see, choosing guide who knows the area and understands where animals tend to congregate and someone who has good English and is fun to be in the same land cruiser with for 6 hours+. Things in Tanzania are often not organized in the same way the as in other countries. I've been in Tanzania for about two weeks and had one tour not show up and another forget to get the park entry permit, which meant I almost missed a balloon ride. Mohammed keeps everything going smoothly at this tour company. He kept in touch by WhatsApp, knew what had to be done and organized multiple guest itineraries for drop offs and pickups from a variety of places. The company is very professionally run and they will take care of you to pick you up from where you are coming, and where you need to end up. All of their drivers are very friendly, as are most Tanzanians, and also seemed to be on their best game. I took two tours with this company and both were very smooth and exceeded my expections. The driver/guide Chad was fantastic guy. He told us stories of the Masai, answered a lot of questions, and was just fun to be around, with a very laid back demeanor. Our group was multi-national and multi lingual, Chad did a great job of interacting with everybody in English. He also knew the park well. Lake Manyara is a unique place, with more of a jungle and wetlands field than the plain. Our trip began slow, I though it would end up being a baboon and monkey tour but ended well thanks to Chad, both knowing where to go and a good eye. We saw a leopard, with an antelope kill it was dressing and dragging into a tree, a pretty rare sight. Also several elephants and giraffes, along with numerous antelope, phumba, baboons and monkeys and water buffalo. The land cruiser was comfortable, Chad stopped as often as we would like when someone thought they saw something. It was also a great group to travel with. Overall a great tour company and a great guide. I would recommend them.

Beautiful and interesting safari - To day I had a safari with driver Joseph at the Mayara lake. Very very beautiful area, besides that, our driver Joseph saw already at the first start small animals to show us. So trained on finding interesting things to show the guests. Even about the trees he knew almost anything. Little birds, a snake, a lizard. The history about the clothes of the massai, all things about the lake and how you could guess the age of the elephant. Thank you Joseph

Good Safari, bad organisation - The safari was nice but the experience was impacted by the lack of organisation of the company. We woke up at 6am because the pick up time was scheduled for 6:30am just for the driver to leave us in another hotel where we waited for 1 hour. Same for the return trip. We changed drivers at least 5 times during the day, never knowing when exactly we would arrive. Definitly recommend the safari experience but not with this company - we were expecting a better service for the price we payed.
