• Mount Kilimanjaro - Embark on a drive to Marangu Gate, the gateway to the breathtaking Kilimanjaro. The journey takes just an hour, but the scenic countryside will captivate you with its coffee and banana plantations, passing through the charming Marangu village, with the majestic Kilimanjaro looming ahead.

Initially, the ridged trail is narrow as you meander through the rainforest. It’s lush and misty, with trees draped in moss. The canopy above is alive with birdsong and mysterious rustlings. You might spot a mongoose scurrying ahead. You’ll also encounter weary hikers making their descent from the summit.

The hike takes about three hours, so take a break to rest your legs and enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hut. Once refreshed, embark on the short but challenging walk to the Maundi Crater. On a clear day, the views to the east over Taveta and to the northwest to Mawenzi Peak are breathtaking. After soaking in the beauty, you’ll hike back down to the Marangu Gate, where a vehicle will be ready to take you, tired but content, back to Moshi.
