Our main task for the day is to make sure we reach Mandara Hut, the first point of a full hike. We will only trek through the lower attitudes, taking our picnic lunch en route to Mandara Hut. Once we are at Mandara Hut, we will rest for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before we begin our slow descent back to the Main Gate. - Kilimanjaro Region - Our driver will be waiting for you to drive you back to your hotel with relaxing music and cold or warm Kilimanjaro beer to take away the tiredness. Not only should you climb it but drink it too.

Fantastic Experience! - I am extremely satisfied with this travel agency! Joshua took care of everything, ensuring all our preferences were met and arranging the accommodations we selected. The team was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our journey. Our guide, Jackson, was outstanding; thanks to him, we spotted all the animals on our wish list. Even the driver who took us to Kilimanjaro Airport at the end of our safari was excellent, and we were treated to stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro along the way. I highly recommend this agency—truly, I have no complaints!

Super Safari Experience! - I can't recommend this safari enough! It was an incredible value for the experience we had. We were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five, which was simply unforgettable. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the wildlife and environment.
The chef also deserves a shout-out; the meals were delicious and added to the overall experience. I highly suggest opting for the camping option if you're up for a bit of adventure. There's nothing quite like falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife just outside your tent! It made the whole trip feel even more immersive and exciting.
If you're considering a safari, this is the one to choose! You won't regret it!

Really Great service. - The tour to Mandara Hut through the rainforest was amazing. It’s a 900-meter climb, but the hike is relatively easy with gentle slopes. We booked this tour for our last day in Tanzania with Rupia Adventure because we had such a great experience with them on our 4-day Mt. Meru hike ten days earlier. We were so impressed with Rupia that we requested the same guide, Gidion, whom we had found to be an outstanding and friendly guide. The trip offered a wonderful taste of Kilimanjaro, with full-day service from Rupia and the best guide ever—truly a fantastic combination!

Fantastic safari Experience ever - This is the perfect day trip for anyone interested in exploring Kilimanjaro. Our guide, Emmanuel, from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris, picked us up promptly at 6:00 AM from our hotel. We drove through Moshi to the National Park gate, where we began our climb. At first, we were nervous about hiking at high elevation, but Emmanuel reassured us to take it "pole, pole" (slowly) and sip water regularly, and we quickly adapted to the altitude. The hike itself was moderate, with well-maintained trails. There were also well-equipped toilet facilities with running water, soap, and toilet paper every 1.5 hours!
We hiked up to the crater and back down, and it was a clear day with breathtaking views of Kenya and the Kilimanjaro summit from our vantage point. The scenery was stunning, with glacier streams, waterfalls, and a beautiful rainforest canopy shading most of the trail. We even spotted monkeys along the way! The entire hike took about 9 hours, including lunch, and I have to mention that Emmanuel carried our backpack the whole way and brought a delicious lunch, which we enjoyed at picnic tables at Mandara Hut. I can’t say enough about this amazing day hike!

An exceptional experience! - So glad we went! Our guides were thoughtful, pacing the hike to match the limitations of our group (some had bad knees) and were incredibly knowledgeable. They carried our food, water, and even one person’s day pack, ensuring we were comfortable and safe throughout the journey. This is not an easy stroll, but they made it manageable. Highly recommend this tour group! A huge shout-out to Kareem, our driver, who did an excellent job navigating the challenging market day traffic on the way back to Arusha.

"Our member was the best,, - 5 stars all around! Our guide, Emmanuel, was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. You could tell he truly loves what he does. We traveled with our two teens, and he was so engaging, helping motivate them through the last couple of miles. The kids’ favorite part was seeing the monkeys! The lunch was excellent, and our driver was so entertaining, speaking five languages! In short, I don’t think you could find a better experience.

A Flawless Experience from Start to Finish! - I had only a short time to visit Tanzania and wanted to experience a full day climbing the great Kilimanjaro. Serengeti Wildlife Safaris offered this trip, and Elly, my guide, made it perfect. From airport transfer, hotel arrangements, to the day hike and return, everything was well organized. They promptly answered all my questions and concerns via WhatsApp. The pickup at the airport and the ride to Kilimanjaro National Park the next morning were smooth and friendly. I even learned a few Swahili words and heard stories about the tribes and villages around Kilimanjaro.
The hike on the Marangu route through the rainforest to Mandara Hut was incredible, with unique flowers, vegetation, monkeys, and birds I had never seen before. Elly was experienced and knowledgeable, timing the hike perfectly, allowing me to go at my own pace, and even helping carry my backpack when things got tough near the end. We managed to return to the base just 15 minutes before the park closed.
I had a fantastic time hiking for a day in Kilimanjaro National Park, thanks to the excellent service and help from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris and Elly. Asante sana, rafiki yangu Elly!

Fantastic safari Experience ever - I was very satisfied with Serengeti Wildlife Safaris’ service. John answered all my questions leading up to the hike, picked us up right on time, and provided an experienced guide for our trek. Serengeti Wildlife Safaris also arranged transportation from our hotel to the airport at a very reasonable price. I had an early check-out at our Moshi hotel with a lot of time before my evening flight, and John picked me up in the morning, took me to several local art stores, and dropped me off at the airport for my 9:20 pm flight. I highly recommend Serengeti Wildlife Safaris for your Kilimanjaro day hike and local transportation.

Informative and Enjoyable - John from Serengeti Wildlife Safaris made sure everything ran smoothly, and Elly was the best guide! It was a moderately challenging hike (I’m 64, but I found it manageable), and Elly set a perfect pace to keep things comfortable. A small backpack, lightweight hiking shoes, and a jacket were all I needed to bring. Water and lunch were provided, which was a great touch. Unfortunately, Kilimanjaro wasn’t visible due to cloud cover, but that’s beyond anyone’s control and didn’t take away from what was a fantastic day out.
