At the crater rim, you may encounter wildlife such as elephants, wildebeest, and various bird species. Within 3.5-4 hours, you will arrive at the Serengeti Nabi gate. Seronera, or Central Serengeti, is the heart of the park, known as the home of Africa’s big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) with its savannah and acacia landscape. Other animals include elephants, hippos, buffalos, impalas, topis, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. The area experiences migration from April to July heading north and returns from October to December. Key spots in Central Serengeti for wildlife viewing include Seronera Valley for herbivores, Seronera River for big cats, and Moru, Maasai, and Simba Kopjes for lions.
▪ Lunch at a picnic site between 1-2 PM, followed by a game drive until late evening, then head to your hotel.
