Tarangire national Park

Tarangire National Park - Your day begins early with an early pick up from your hotel within Arusha, a short pre departure info session and to your driver/guide, and a drive to Tarangire national park which is famous for its varied landscape, the giant BAOBAB trees and large numbers of Elephants amongst other wildlife species that are resident of this park. You shall have picnic lunches at a location within the park, and late afternoon drive to The Retreat at Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

Lake Manyara National park

Lake Manyara - On this day, you shall leave the Retreat after an early breakfast, and drive to Lake Manyara national park, which sits on the floor of the rift valley, has an underground source of water flowing from Ngorongoro highlands and shares a wildlife corridor with Tarangire national park, this is truly a magnificent park. You shall visit different areas of this park including the hot springs followed by picnic lunch at HIPPO pool picnic site, and a further game drive as you exit the park late in the evening. You will drive up the rift valley escarpment to reach The Retreat at Ngorongoro just in time for sunset! Dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater - A truly exciting day begins with an early drive to Ngorongoro crater, a living garden of eden, and a place where you will see the BIG five! And Maasai taking their cattle for a salt lick, it is an experience that is hard to put in words! Picnic breakfast at a hippo pool area and further game drives before you start journey back to Arusha (Expected arrival time 17h00), you shall bid farewell to your driver/guide and leave Roy Safaris as your friends in Tanzania!

Such an AMAZING experience! We can’t recommend Roy Safaris enough! - This was such an amazing experience for our family. We all loved it so much. Sanjay with Roy Safaris planned everything for us. Great communication throughout the process! We got picked up at the airport by John who drove us to the lodge and did all the game drives with us. He is such a friendly, helpful, sincere, and knowledgeable person. He wanted to make sure we see all the animals we wish to see. He put all efforts to make it happen. We are so thankful for him and really appreciate him a lot! As for the lodge, this is an amazing place to stay at. We felt like a royal family there. The place is so beautiful, serene, and super clean. Food was AMAZING. Service was OUTSTANDING! Sarah at the restaurant was super kind and helpful. Anything we asked her for was just fulfilled so easily and quickly: “HAKUNA MATATA”!😊 Everyone involved in planning and executing this went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience for us. THANK YOU ALL! We can’t recommend you enough!

Roy's Safaris are AMAZING! - Roy's Safaris was incredible. The drivers were brilliant. Extremely accomodating, had lots of knowledge about the area, the animals. Knew exactly where to go to find the best animals - we saw everything - Lions, lion cubs, zebras, wildebeast, elephants, giraffe, hippos etc. Some amazing lodges, great food and locations. Couldn't have asked for better guides and hosts. Would DEFINITELY use again.

Wonderful Trip!! - We were extremely satisfied Roy Safaris who put together an excellent itinerary for our group which ran seamlessly from start to finish. They were an exceptional safari company. The knowledge of the rangers helped us to appreciate the wonder of the Animal Kingdom in the Serengeti, and all their other services were excellent. I can highly recommend this company.

Repeat Customer / Always a 5-Star Experience! - Wonderful experience all around! I first used Roy Safaris to visit the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater 5 years ago. I loved the experience then, and it seems Roy Safaris continues to be exceptional. Both times, I was on safari with a group of 4 female friends. Things we loved: 1) our knowledgable guide Benjamin, who listened to the types of animals we wanted to see and made sure we were not disappointed 2) the food / boxed lunches during the all-day game drives and recommended accommodations (esp. Lion's Paw - incredible), 3) the ease, convenience, and professionalism of working with Halima and her team. One giant bonus was that we were able to make a pitstop at the hotel Roy Safaris owns after our final all-day game drive and before our long flight back to the US. Incredible experience and customer service - 5/5 stars for sure.

Brilliant 4 night safari with excellent guide - Thank you so much to Roy Safaris, and especially our fantastic guide Emmanuel, for a brilliant trip. We went to Tarangire, Ngorogoro and Serengeti over 4 nights. All of the hotels were fantastic, we felt well looked after and very safe. Emmanuel was brilliant with the children, did an amazing job of both spotting and driving, and provided intelligent and thoughtful commentary on everything we saw. Always cheerful and helpful even at the end of a long day. We saw an astonishing array of creatures, including so many lions we almost tired of them, and a beautiful sighting of 3 cheetahs. He claimed we were lucky, which I’m sure is an element, but I have to attribute a lot of that ‘luck’ to his brilliant instinct and spotting skills. He was really good at helping to set up photos, using his own excellent photography skills and his knowledge of wildlife. We were given an excellent spotter guide to the birds and animals (which he turned out to have put together with Susan) which gave the children (and grownups) a really good focus and helped us to identify the menagerie we were presented with. We were really pleased to have a guide who was very strong on birds as well as animals and got some great bird photographs. We were not sure how much our youngest (age 5 ) would enjoy it but she had a brilliant time. My oldest daughter (8 years) says…I thought Emmanuel had really good eyesight and he spotted so many things on my trip and he made the trip really fun. My youngest daughter (5 yrs) says….I thought Emmanuel was really good at spotting things and he did a lot of things for our trip.

Incredible safari experience with a great guide - We had a private 3 day safari in Tarangire National park with Richard as our driver and guide. Our trip started with one of my daughters being sick the whole day, but he handled it marvellously. The sight of a cheetah and her three cubs playing in the afternoon sun more than made up for it! I chose a private safari as I knew there would be different interests and priorities in my family group, and also health issues. Richard catered to all our needs and everybody came out feeling content with their safari experience. We saw loads of lions, mating, being chased by elephants. Herds of elephants, including babies, giraffes, baboons and loads more. We stayed at the Tarangire Safari Lodge, which suited our needs perfectly. There were animals running around outside our bungalow, and one night we all heard a lion roar. Richard is a fountain of knowledge, about the animals, the park, Tanzania, the masai, environmental change etc etc. A wonderful man and guide, who I thoroughly recommend to everyone. Roy’s safari put together a great package, listened to my thoughts and concerns, and I’m all in all very pleased.

Great guides, amazing wildlife and excellent hotels. - Incredible experience. The entire safari was well organized and amazing. The guides were very knowledgeable (frank and fabian) and the trucks were clean and have everything you need. Food was great and the hotels were top notch (incredible locations). We saw all the big animals and had a great time. Highly recommend.

The BEST - Roy's safari was the AWESOME! We had a wonderful guide that knew every question we threw at him. we were a very large group but the guides were very kind and joined in with the jokes which made 3 days in the car a hell of an experience. cant recommend these guys enough.
