• Rundugai - Guests will be picked up in the morning from their hotel in Arusha, Moshi, or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha airports in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle and driven a short distance to a Maasai village. At the village, visitors will experience many traditional aspects of Maasai life and observe how the Maasai adapt to development and modern civilization. All visits are organized by the Maasai themselves; they will showcase their traditional dance and singing, various types of Maasai houses, traditional beads, fire-making, ornaments, bush techniques, and medicine. Guests can also walk with their cattle on the plains before heading to Materuni village, home of the Chagga tribe.

• Moshi - Visitors will be welcomed into a Chagga home for a hot traditional lunch and tropical fruits. After lunch, they will learn about the Tanzanian coffee industry directly from a local barista and participate in coffee grinding, traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances—a fun way to immerse in the local culture. Guests will make their own cup of coffee using traditional methods, taste local coffee, and before departing, savor the coffee they made. The visit concludes with a 1-hour hike to Materuni waterfalls.

• Materuni Waterfalls - Materuni waterfalls are located about 45 minutes to 1 hour walking from Materuni village. Materuni village remains an authentic tribal village, home to the Chagga tribe, and is the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park. Along the way, visitors will learn about the Chagga tribe’s culture, village life, and the surrounding flora and fauna. With a guide, guests will enjoy breathtaking views and, with luck, may see the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail can be slippery and muddy, so it is advisable to have good hiking shoes with grip and a raincoat. Upon reaching the waterfalls, marvel at the cascades that are over 80 meters (262 feet) high. Spend some time there before returning to Arusha, Moshi, or Kilimanjaro airport.
