One of the most amazing experiences of our lives. Definitely checking off an item of our bucket list. - We had an amazing experience with Meru Slopes and an incredible safari. Our experience started when we were met by our driver at 5:30 AM at the Arusha airport, and brought to our lodge. After resting, our coordinator, Shadrack, met us at the lodge to go over our itinerary. His driver took us to Arusha to show us the cultural center, an amazing art museum, and the local women and men’s markets. It was a great introduction to being in Tanzania. The next day we met Mohammad, our driver and guide, and started our journey. We spent the first day at Tangarire National Park, the next 2 1/2 days on the Serengeti, Then a day at the Ngorongoro crater. The last day was spent at lake Manyara. Mohamad was an exceptional driver, including on very bumpy and sometimes muddy Serengeti roads. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, their habits, and had a knack at finding animals. We managed to see the big five, Lions, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant and the Black rhino, though at quite a distance and through binoculars. Plus cheetah, giraffe, zebra, and hippo bringing us up to the big nine. We saw many other animals and birds. We observed many of things that are rare, such as a leopard bring a baby gazelle it had killed to its baby as it climbed up a tree to store this precious food. We also observed a group of lions feeding on its prey, part of the animal world we don’t get to see when not in the wild. Our tour also included a visit to a Maasai village, which was very interesting and informative. They shared their traditions, their songs, and we were able to go inside one of the houses. A great experience. We were very happy with all the accommodations that Shadrack had arranged for us for the Safari. Food was quite good. The tent camps were amazing. And the staff at all of the places we stayed were so welcoming and accommodating.

Absolute booking recommendation - We had a particularly great safari experience! Communication with Meru Slopes went great over the entire time, answers came quickly and also for individual requests e.g. an early check in were considered. We felt well looked after all around. The choice of accommodation was consistently great, the food there but also the lunch on safari very delicious. A special thank you goes to our guide Max! With his many years of experience, he has given us this unique experience, prudent, patient and always in a good mood. He could tell us a lot about the animals, the parks. We had a wonderful time together! Again at this point asante sana Max! We felt safe at all times, well looked after, saw more animals than we could ever have imagined and just had a great time.

I will do it again! - We started communicating with Jerome in March, and he was always prompt and responsive to all our inquiries. About a month before our scheduled trip, we decided to add another person to our group. Meru Slopes was very accommodating and made the necessary revisions to our booking without any issues. Despite several back-and-forth emails, Jerome’s communication remained clear and professional throughout. Our tour guide, Douglas, was kind, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience enjoyable and informative. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. We saw all Big 5 and can’t ask for more! Overall, the service was excellent — from the smooth booking process to the on-ground tour experience. We highly recommend Meru Slopes for anyone planning a trip to Tanzania!

6 day private Migration Safari - We booked a 6 day private Migration Safari in September 2025 with Meru Slopes Tours. We had a wonderful experience, the lodges in- and outside the parks we visited were fantastic and thanks to our guide and driver Douglas we saw a lot of animals, including the big five and the Mara River crossing. Douglas is very experienced and we felt always safe with him. The car was in good condition and we never had any issues during our safari (we saw a lot of other cars having problems because of the bumpy roads). During the booking process we got regular updates about accommodation changes and all our questions were answered immediately by Jerome. Overall we can highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours.

A life-changing safari with Meru Slopes – Jerome & Jackson made it unforgettable - life-changing safari with Meru Slopes, Jerome & Jackson made it unforgettable! My girlfriend and I just returned from a 7-day safari with Meru Slopes and it was an experience of a lifetime. From the very first contact, Jerome impressed us with his professionalism and attention to detail. He tailored a perfect itinerary that included Tarangire, the Serengeti (both central and northern), and the Ngorongoro Crater, and everything, from lodges to transfers ran smoothly and stress-free. The real magic of the trip, however, came from our guide Jackson. With years of experience, he knows every corner of the parks and always found the perfect spots for us. Thanks to him, we experienced Tarangire’s incredible herds of elephants under the baobabs, the Central Serengeti’s thrilling big cat encounters, and the breathtaking spectacle of the great migration in the Northern Serengeti. Beyond his guiding skills, Jackson became a true friend to us, someone we trusted, laughed with, and will always remember fondly. The combination of Jerome’s flawless organization and Jackson’s unmatched guiding made this safari unforgettable. If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, we cannot recommend Meru Slopes highly enough. Ask for Jerome to plan and Jackson to guide, it will be the journey of a lifetime!

Experience of a Lifetime - My friend and I went on a "girls' trip" to Tanzania and did the 6 night, 7 day private great migration safari with Meru Slopes. We had a fantastic experience! Our driver, Douglas, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we got a close up view of the animals each day. We saw abundant elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions/lionesses, and even a rare sighting of a mom leopard with her cub playing in a tree. Meru Slopes took care of all of the fine details and accommodations so that we could sit back and enjoy our trip. 100% would book with Meru Slopes again for my next safari!
