Worth every penny! - This was an excellent tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged the entire time. We learned a great deal about the city (past and present), the venues, and the entertainment that has visited or resided in its boundaries and surrounding areas. If you are interested in seeing vinyls made, be sure to go Mon-Fri. I don't think this was mentioned in the advertisement. We went on a Saturday and were disappointed that this option was not available; however, tour was still worth it, even without this expectation being met.

Dave is the Bomb! - If you want a tour of the Asheville music scene you can't go wrong here. David Penley is so knowledgeable from his years of experience in the music and stereo industry. He brings that knowledge and love to Asheville and he has dug deep into the local music history to find all the nuggets of the local artists that originated or called Asheville their home over the years.

Music History of Asheville w/David - We took the day walking tour of Asheville Music History with David. It was spectacular. Very in-depth, and David is really knowledgeable. You see all the key venues, understand the history, and it ends at the Moog Museum, which chronicles the creation of the devices that made modern pop music possible.

Go on This Tour! - Our guide, David, can’t be beat. Very amiable, knowledgeable and a great storyteller. We learned so much! One of the favorite parts of our trip. FYI: you don’t have to be passionate about music to enjoy David’s tour. My husband loves music; I like music. We both equally enjoyed the tour.

Great walking tour of Asheville - not too hard - you will get your steps in - Fun and informative tour - I learned about Asheville's diverse music history being due to so many travelers, visitors, mountain folk, and a number of recording studios over the last 100 years - drawing musicians here to play and/or record an album or single. You'll learn about musicians who left here to make it big, you'll learn about musicians who return here to settle down. I would go again.
