A Memorable Day in the Pisgah National Forest - I went with my teenage son on the “Waterfalls and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour”. It was outstanding! Our guide Niko was a wealth of interesting information about the region and (especially) the plant life. He’s very passionate about making his tours worthwhile and fun.

Blue Ridge Beauty! - I loved this tour so much! Our guide was friendly and very smart as he answered all of my questions about the area around us. As someone on a solo trip, it was a great way to meet cool people along my adventure. We visited some waterfalls and hiked along trails as we observed the nature around us. I was impressed by how much our guide knew about the trees and history and knowledge of the ecosystem there. Would highly recommend

Fantastic Experience with Asheville Hiking Tours - From start to finish, our hike with Asheville Hiking Tours was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Ginny, the owner, called me back on a Sunday to discuss the best option for our group of three, which ranged in fitness level. She recommended the easy level (as opposed to moderate) for the Waterfalls and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour because if other people joined the group the following Sunday, there would be no expectations, and no one would feel like they were being held back. As it turned out, a nice couple joined our group, and we really enjoyed their company as we took our time in nature. MK (Mary Kait), a local professional naturalist educator with years of experience, led our Sunday morning expedition. She took care of everything including driving the very comfortable van dubbed “Dolly” after Dolly Parton, making sure we had bathroom breaks (in facilities with flush toilets), and even provided snacks. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient and made everyone feel at ease. We enjoyed views on the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked to two waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest. As we walked, MK pointed out a variety of interesting plants and wildlife and even some edible plants including wintergreen and blackberries, which we tasted. MK encouraged us as budding naturalists and delighted in our finds. MK is an enthusiastic ambassador for nature and the Asheville area and even recommended her favorite local restaurants. I have nothing but nice things to say about Asheville Hiking Tours and highly recommend them. In addition to easy and moderate level hikes for public groups, they also have private tours, which they will tailor to individual interests and fitness levels. Their website is very informative, and all information on the website turned out to be accurate, including detailed directions to their place of business and to the free parking close by. Asheville Hiking Tours seeks to please with excellent customer service, and they deliver!

Great hike and so informative! - A great hike and so informative as well! Our guide, Nikko, was very engaging and even had us sample edible leaves for taste. We Learned so much more than on a usual hike. The hike itself was easy/moderate and seeing waterfalls and mountain vistas was the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend!

Asheville Hiking Tours came through with excellence. - Having never been to Asheville before we decided to try a hike during our 4 day stay. Trip Advisor displayed Asheville Hiking Tours & we reserved 2 spots for a 5 hour hike. We were lucky to have as our guide a terrific guy named Nico, native to the area. His enthusiasm for hiking and nature was abundantly clear. We learned a great deal and were taken to several gorgeous spots, including waterfalls & stunning vistas of Pisgah National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mts. Nico was also concerned with all hikers’ comfort & safely. We are quite glad we decided to use Asheville Hiking Tours. All excellent.

Great 1/2 day hiking tour - This was a great 1/2 day to see and learn about Pisgah National Forest on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We hiked to 2 waterfalls and learned along the way so much we wouldn't have had we not had Niko pointing out all the amazing flora of the forest ecosystem. While hiking in the future I'll now be looking out for the mushrooms, lichen and edible plants. Niko was personable, easy-going and super knowledgeable. This made our 1/2 day hiking so much richer than had we gone it on our own. Thanks Niko!

waterfalls in the Pisgah Forest - Chaney was a great guide and very personable. We went to two waterfalls that I would have not gone to on my own. The hiking trail was good with some challenges.
