• DuPont State Recreational Forest - DuPont State Forest is the land of waterfalls! Hike 3.5-4.5 miles and see 2-3 waterfalls ranging from 40ft to 125ft tall. Time listed includes driving between Asheville and the trailhead.

Embark on a journey to the land of waterfalls with a small group for a half-day hike to explore 2-3 stunning waterfalls! This 3-4 mile trek is easy to moderate, set on wide, well-maintained trails. It’s an excellent choice for hikers of all skill levels. With a maximum of 6 participants, this hike offers a more personal experience compared to larger group tours.

The hike begins at our downtown Asheville office at 8:30 am and lasts about 5 hours, including travel time. Snacks and transportation are provided. Upon request, your guide can supply trekking poles, a daypack, and bottled water at no extra cost.

We hike in all weather conditions! Hikers should be prepared for any weather by bringing a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. In the case of severe or hazardous weather, we may cancel or reschedule the hike.
