5 Day Garden Route and Addo Experience - My safari was insanely good! I got to fit everything I wanted to do or try out, and gained so much interesting information thanks to the tour guide Neville. He made the trip way better than I had hoped and I’m so grateful to have been on a 5 day safari with him as my guide. I RECOMMEND DOING IT, DON’T DOUBT IT!

An amazing way to see more of South Africa - This was an incredible experience, made even better by our tour guide Isaac. He was patient and lighthearted, and had a lot of local knowledge about all of our stops. The activities were great and the whole trip was well-timed... don't pass on the optional elephant activity! It was also a great trip for solo women travellers.

Garden Route - Hotspot2c has put together tour perfect with highlights for every day. Our driver, for 8 people from 4 different nations, paid absolute attention to each participant that we are all fine. We received a lot of information during the trip. By communicating via whats app group what is planned when and where, we had regular contact. For example, 3 different accommodations had to be approached daily Backpackers, 3 stars, 4 stars hotel - that worked out for us quite stress-free! Individual promotions could be booked individually or used as a rest break. Thanks to Nev for the very good and confident care and safe ride on this tour ! I felt very comfortable !!

Amazing end to my Journey in South Africa - The Garden Route Tour was absolutely amazing!! I really enjoyed everything because we experienced so many different things. One thing that made our trip very special was our Tourguide Maudi. He always made sure that everyone is happy !! My personal highlight was the bungee jump and all the animals we saw. I also really liked the choice of hostels/accomadations!!

Fantastic 5 days! - With a nice small party (6p) and a super enthusiastic guide / driver Paul Barker we went the Garden Route and Safari. It was in a word: Oh, great. Seen so much, done so much. Exciting the first day a safari in Botlierskop. Seen so many animals by then. Along the way enjoyed the scenery and the fascinating stories of Paul. Very cool. Visited beautiful caves, wine tasting, walked suspension bridge, walked with elephants and again a fantastic safari in Addo Park. Everything (eating, sleeping, transport) perfectly arranged and taken care of. Even more than that. It has far exceeded our expectations. THX !

Awesome trip - It’s an awesome trip. I can highly recommend doing it. You see so many sides of South Africa in a relatively short duration. The optional activities, especially the elephant walk are definitely worth it. In addition, our tour guide Denver has such a positive energy, was really friendly, helpful and took care about everything.

Tour runs in reverse order to itinerary on Viator - I have complicated feelings about this tour, but I would certainly recommend it and am glad I did it (however, I wouldn't book it again). Our guide, Isaac, was great. He was friendly, organized, patient, and kind. My biggest frustration was with the structure of the tour -- as everyone can potentially book a different style of accommodation, we easily spent an hour a day dropping people off and picking them up. It was terribly inefficient. I don't think it's a good approach and I think it would be easier for everyone to have just the one style of accommodation with the option of a shared or private room. In terms of activities: most were great, but I tend to agree with other reviewers that the Addo Elephant Park would be better seen by 4x4 safari vehicle than from our tour bus. We still saw many elephants, zebras, and other animals, so it was a highlight, but I'd rather pay a small surcharge for the option of a tour that would mean we most likely would see big cats. Finally, the vineyard we visited on the last day did not meet expectations. It did not have any vines and faced a noisy highway. It was not pleasant doing the wine tasting there. I would prefer we visited a more photogenic vineyard. One last comment: the itinerary that we booked on Viator actually ran in reverse. This was unexpected and unwelcomed, because had I known we were going on our safari on day 1 instead of day 5 I would have cancelled. We went on safari when it was raining and therefore the big cats were hiding. I happen to think this itinerary made sense logistically... but it's different than what appeared on Viator, and for expectation setting, that's not great. I like to know exactly what we are doing and when. So, I wouldn't go on this tour again. BUT I did actively recommend it to my brother and some friends for whom I think the above criticisms are not deal breakers.
