Well organised trip to a unique place - We were a group of three friends on an organised 4-day tour of Asmara and Massawa. Phil, our main tour guide, was incredibly helpful and considerate of all our needs throughout the tour, going above and beyond our expectations. We managed to do a huge variety of activities, from watching the national cycling tournament in Eritrea to visiting all the top sights in Asmara to cycling around Massawa at sunrise. On top of that, Phil is just a very friendly, open and stand-up tour guide who we felt very safe and comfortable with throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this tour company as well as the visit to Asmara and Massawa itself!

A wealth of history and art for the adventurous traveler who has seen everything - I had a wonderful time in Asmara. This country represented one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in all my years of traveling. Behind the veil that Eritrea exists in are some of the most friendly, beautiful, and compassionate people in Africa. The city itself is a marvel of untouched splendor just waiting to be explored. Simon and Phil were terrific guides and I think you should want to go and check out the country if you thought you’ve seen everything in the world.

10/10 Tour Company in Eritrea - Just wow. Phil was absolutely incredible and arranging tours for me of both Asmara and Massawa. Not only were the tours great, but Phil made a huge effort to get permits for me during a holiday in Eritrea. I wouldn’t have had nearly as good of an experience without his help. Make sure to ask for Efrem as your driver. He is a very kind and professional person that also enriched my Eritrean experience.

Unique architectural style with plenty to see in Asmara - A great trip organised by Philemon. He was the only one who could arrange visa on arrival. Internet is non existent there. So don't panic if he doesn't reply for a few days. Asmara had lots to see and do for 2 days. Pizza and macchiato are great!

Highly recommend Eritrea Visit and Philemon! - I booked a 5 day cultural tour through Eritrea visiting Asmara, Keren, and Massawa with Eritrea Visit. Phil organized a wonderful and safe trip exposing me to a variety of activities and people along the way. We negotiated the price so that he would handle everything from the airport pickup, driver, local guides, permits and hotels. I paid for my lunches and dinners. Phil is very knowledgeable and passionate about his country and I had a fabulous time! He is well connected and was able to organize sites for me to see that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own. My family was very nervous to have me traveling solo, but it was incredibly safe and I felt well cared for!

Eritrea with Sam and Phil - I spent 10 days in Eritrea with my guides, Sam and Phil, great guides and excellent people. I visited Asmara, Masawa and Karen and did some hiking not far from Asmara. I was very well taken care of and we went to a lot of weddings. 😀 It’s a very unique country and more of a European flavor than any other African country. Great pasta gelato and coffee. The local food is also excellent. Be ready for virtually no internet but WhatsApp kind of works. So many interesting sites and even the cities feel less chaotic than other African cities, amazing art deco and colonial architecture, the landscapes are beautiful. I’d highly recommend Eritrea and Sam and Phil as guides, very professional and organized, Eritrea is very bureaucratic and to travel requires a lot of paperwork, we had no problems.
