This temple is unique due to its double entrance, each dedicated to a different deity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was constructed to honor two gods: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus.
- Edfu Temple - Next, you’ll be driven to Edfu to visit the impressive temple dedicated to Horus, which is considered by many to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, this is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by killing Seth. At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in either Aswan or Luxor, as per your request.
